Tough Simplicity?

I'm disconcerted by the human nature methods of handling situations. In the Critical Thinking course I took about a year ago, the exact term for this particular one is 'team work'. I'm sure it was taught with expectations of it being applied in general life situations, happenings, etc. People don't have to be informed that they're in a group & that they have to work together to know what is to be applied.

It can be a group of friends/strangers wanting to hangout or wanting to do something together, a school/university/social project, simple transmit-receive communication between people. As long as there is more than one person involved. Right? Seems like 'team work' is like add maths to many,
"It has nothing to do with what we do in our everyday life". So they say.

The heck with critical thinking. Aren't individuals suppose to be aware & conscious of their surroundings? Willing to do things for their own benefit? Now, forget about life & death type of situations, I'm talking about the simplest things in life, like a SIMPLE phone call. And WOW, even a tiny little text. I don't think you'll be assassinated anytime soon if u sent a text. Oh, unless you did something real bad to stimulate someone to think of assassination that is ;)

Alright now, lets see how a SIMPLE a phone call, text, online chat, etc.
can contribute to the simplicities of life, shall we?

Is it seriously that difficult? That's where the confusion comes in for me.

Till then
