Justin Steamboat Hotty

It is currently 5.55am as I'm typing this. Last day of puasa, I somehow got the urge to stay up so late. As a matter of fact I don't think I'll be sleeping at all. I just made like, one mug of black coffee a few hours ago, and now I'm up & wide awake. I guess my mind's all set for the 'LONG' raya holiday, plus knowing that I've got tonnes of work to do, it decided to do something out of the ordinary. Rebel a lil, in a not-so-good-not-so-bad way :)

I'm actually still awake, trying to catch up on all the new series I've downloaded. Vampire Diaries, Melrose Place, Gossip Girl, True Blood, 90210, One Tree Hill, etc. A lot right? HAHA, but not all tonight of course. Saving some for the nights in kampung where I won't be able to get any Internet connection to do my assignments. We'll be leaving home to head there in about 5 hours time. And shop at our last Ramadhan Bazaar day by the beach, our new family tradition for 3 years now :) Excited!

New cast photos for The Hills are out, and omg look at Justin friggin Bobby! Why in the world does he have to look like that?! Like so bloody hott?! Hate that dude! Hahaha. He's all hott & stuff, but the attitude's a big NO-NO. And yeah, there's Kristin next to him, nothing interesting, blehh. LOL. Can't wait for the new season!

I've been wanting to blog about the buka puasas I've had this month, as they were filled with awesomeness. But you know how your mind's dependent on your mood, and your mood's dependent on time. And ladies & gentlemen, time flies. Despite the exciting memories compiled from those outings, in time, you tend to grow out of it. Yes Qila, blame TIME! Time is the enemy. Grrr.

Never mind, lets not stress on the past. Focus on the present & prepare to face the future ;)
Oouhh that sounded smart. No offense to the other eat-out bukas, but this one was by far the BEST I had. Any outing or second spent with these two are vital. These two combine, make my 'other half', hahaha.

We had steamboat at some steamboat shop in Ikano. I can't remember the name, haha. But YES, I finally managed to please my puasa crave. And Zetty suggested one of the best places for it. If you like steamboat, you should really try the one in Ikano. So good!

Each person gets their own mini stove to cook your own ingredients. You can either order by the set, like Tasya & I did in the photo, which cost like less than RM20 per set. One set was more than enough for me, for MY belly size. So it should be WAAAY more than enough for you, Hahaha. Serious! If you don't like certain things in the set, you can always order specifics like the little plates you see in front of us.

With them there & the delectables, that night was just great. The only thing that bugged us was that we were placed right in front of the shop. So, we were practically like the shop's exhibits for the passerbys to see. And there were people who didn't make reservations who were willing to just wait there for a seat to magically pop up empty. And while waiting, they just stared at us eating. Comfortable as ever. I should hire people to stare at me eat EVERY night :)

Later on, we headed to IKEA & made ourselves at home :)
We snapped a bunch of pictures, but yeah is this flickr? NO.

Spot the price tags! :)

Alright now, it's almost 8am. I seriously need to get my forty winks before I start helping my mom out with the luggage & stuff. And, and I didn't even watch any of the series I mentioned yet! Haha, passion for blogging FTW! Hug the family for me, will yea?

99 Queens

Dear Morpheus,
I'd like to thank you for the weird but adventurous dreams you've painted for me. They definitely fertilized my baby plants of creativity. I am writing to you today as I am in a particular area on earth receiving pedagogics from this particular being who portrays a know-it-all attitude. Confidence is a great quality but it has its limits. And when you go beyond the borders of it, you come across as annoying & obnoxious. Word!
- Qilla 8/09/09-

Okay, so I was bored. I get bored having to listen to people forcing their attempts of improving the world on people when it obviously just shoots down their self-esteem. I know the motives to it are good & all, but the approach doesn't seem right. Yeah, who am I to judge right, but you can't help it when it's SO apparent. So, you want a person to be an independent thinker, to know how to explain things even though they don't know much about it. You don't mock their flaws in front of a crowd. It would seem like a good reality check for them, yes. But haven't you lived long enough to know how the human brain receives & analyzes words?

I can't remember why Morpheus was the one I decided to write to. LOL. Must've wanted to express stuff about my recent dreams. Been having really weird ones these past few days. I woke this morning all grumpy & sad. Funny thing was, that my dream was about chocolate. It was kind of a blur, but I remember that I brought to class a whole bunch of chocolate bars called 99 Queens. HAHA, does it even exist? Can't remember who exactly I was bringing it for. But everyone was suddenly extra nice to me. This random girl gave me a big packet of Cadburry chocettes, & I was like "Thanks but, why?". This guy I don't even know beside me leaned in & whispered, "Hello, you've got the 99 Queens". I must've had like really expensive chocolate. Haha.

The dream went on for quite a while, had weird robbery rescues in between, really odd conversations, etc. that I actually had the time to go for my lab session. Left my bag outside. And when I got back to it, all the bars were gone. It's just a dream, yeah but I cried like shit. LMAO. Woke up in tears man! Who knew, how big of an impact losing expensive chocolate would be for me. Hahaha. Retard. And I read my sleeping prayers okay!!

ANYWAY, finally watched Up on Tuesday. Sara wanted to watch it so much, we went to MidV after class with Pia. Such a touching movie, & the characters are so freakin' cute. Especially the little boy scout, Russel! Haha. Round lil chubby Asian kid. I'd like to have one, please!

Had a buka puasa event with my course mates last night. We all woke up with a hangover this morning. It's not like we drank last night, lol. I'll post the pictures when I get them from the others :)

Desert For Buka Anyone?

What would be a more indulging desert than fresh hot brownies :)
Afi was having a sweet tooth alert a few days ago, & brownies was what she was craving for.

Easiest way to bake without having to deal with all the measurement fuss, brownie in a box ;)
You know those ready-mixed cakes, cookies, pancakes, etc. you usually see on the racks in the cake section in supermarkets. Yeahh, that one. Just a break an egg or two & add some water. That's all it takes. They're delicious :)

There's no wrong in baking the easy way. Some people say, it's better to make them yourself.
They say, "At least the effort is there". Agreed, but saving some time & energy won't hurt, would it? It's all good & it only costs RM12 a box. For a WHOLE brownie. Instead of the RM80 Secret Recipe whole brownie. See! :P

And to spice things up, melt some ice cream on those hot brownies. Yumm.
Hahahh, if you're reading this before buka puasa, honestly didn't mean to tempt you!
Just contributing ideas for an exciting buka ;)

Final Destination Premiere

I had to skip my guitar class yesterday evening to avoid the daily after-work traffic. Coz you know how crazy that can be sometimes. Even so, the traffic was still pretty slow on the way there.

We reached One Utama just in time for buka puasa. Just as we entered Burger King, the sounds of azan was already playing on the speakers of the mall. Thank God it was a weekday, so there weren't that many people there, & getting seats wasn't a problem.

After dinner, we headed straight to the cineplex & queued up for the tickets.
This time we got mini-poster tickets! I was definitely happy about that, coz last time during the Orphan premiere we only got those Photostatted ones. SO this one's a plus :)

Ohh yes, & we got I Nuffnang badges & a FD postcard. How cute :) If I were to giveaway I Qillz t-shirts, would you wear it? Haha, totally kidding man. Random thought!

So, we got the tickets & there was still time to linger around before the movie. Reda forced me to play Foosball with him. He knew I wasn't good at it, so as expected the score was Reda 9-0 Qila. I tried my best okay!! Every time Reda scored, he'd jokingly mock me. It was torture. So thankful that no one stopped to watch us play. Coz usually when Reda plays or is challenged by someone, a LOT of people would gather around. Phewh!

The movie overall was just okay. I don't think I saw much of a difference in this Final Destination movie compared to the previous three. It's pretty much the same thing. Very sanguinary & bloodshed. Lots of intestines flying around, bone cracking & breaking, etc. A little comedy here & there. And as expected from all Final Destination movies, EVERYONE dies, no matter how well they re-think & re-calculate things.

If you've seen the other three, you would most probably be expecting something totally different, some kind of evolution to the movie. But in the end, you'd still end up coming out of the cinema saying, "Thought so".

I guess the only slight difference to it, one that you can see that the producers were making an effort to add some excitement, is the 3D effect. Even though the movie wasn't all that, the 3D kinda adds to the enthralment that would make you go "Whoaa". LOL. Yeah, so it was aiiight.

Would I recommend it? Hmmn. It actually depends on how much of a Final Destination fan you are. If you're the type who never misses any of the FD movies, it should be kinda exciting to compare. For the first-timers, if there's nothing else good to watch, it should be a nice last resort. Haha. I mean, it's not THAT bad, just predictable.

So if you don't have much time to go to the cinemas, no big deal.
I don't think you've got anything to lose watching it on the small screen :)
Thanks Reda for being my date! Muahhx.

Reminiscing Collab Vids

I thought last year's merdeka video marked some sort of a tradition for me, that we'd do it every year. Apparently, not. Boo hoo. Most of my siblings weren't home for the merdeka weekend. And besides that, I was too caught up with assignments anyway. Ohh and suprise! my webcam's busted. LOL.

However, I do have a new song in mind for any future merdeka videos ;)
I like taking new originals made by locals. There's this one new one that's pretty awesome.
I can't remember what it's called, but when I do I'll let you know ;) So, for the fun of it, lets reminisce last years merdeka video shall we!

To ones who's seeing this video for the first time, I actually made this last year with my sisters. Yeahh, the audio was totally out of sync with the lip movement, LOL. The webcam was a little bonkers at the time. It was an unplanned video, all so random that out of nowhere we got papers & markers to prop the vid. Haha. Good times! I wonder when I'll get to collab with the siblerz again.

Speaking of sibling collabs, lets just make this a reminisce of sibling collab videos. It's been a while since I made a You Tube vid.I think it's gonna take quite a while for me to be able to do it again. People seem to like it when my siblings are in my videos. Most of the views I've been getting are for their appearances. Ha! Good thing though. But you never know, I might just manage to get a teeny bit time to work on sumthing. Coz we HAVE been discussing some ideas ;)

I was just browsing through my videos a couple of days ago, & on one of the videos I saw that my Juz Dance video is a 'Featured Video' under related videos. I thought it was normal, that everyone's videos were like that too, but when I asked Helmi, he didn't think so. I guess that's a good thing?

So, yay! LOL. Eventhough it's not exactly a wide open kinda featuring,
but it's considered acknowledged. Woohoo!

I'm currently on my day off. More thesis research to do.Hoorayness, NOT.
And yeahh, last night was the Final Destination premiere, will post on that soon!
