Once in a while, I like to browse around MPH Online to check out book offers & stuff. Especially when I know I have extra cash in my account ;) Bought most of my books online anyway, coz somehow whenever I choose to chill at any one of the MPH stores, is when I'm broke. Ringgits on the other hand, just love to pop up in my bank account during my lazy-but-still-need-love phases. Hence, the online purchases & Qila is blithe :)
The first couple of weeks of 2010 has been pretty tense. So much to think about, it's all so overwhelming. At times like these, a shopaholic might go out & get herself a pair of shoes, I'll get myself a book or two. NOT! Haha well usually food, but just thought of getting something else. Like a good light read, so I can get my mind off of all the work sporadically. Did just that on Sunday. Browsed through the website, clicky here & there. And honkeroos, the mail man brought me my book today :)
It is The Last Chapter by Alicia Loh. She's only 13 years old & one heck of a writer. Read her blog Alicia Loh and she's got some pretty rad poems. Like young teens in general, she's a HUGE David Archuletta fan, Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana, Jesse McCartney, Disney & Nickelodeon, etc. Looks like we've got a lot in common minus David Archie, haha.
Yes, she's Malaysian & the book only costs RM15. It's pretty thin, about 70 pages a short novel. I haven't read it yet, but will fill in on it once I have. All purchases of The Last Chapter goes to her medical fund :)
Paid extra RM7 for the delivery, instead of a 15 minute drive to Midvalley to get it myself. That's how much of a pemalas I am. FML. Haha, nahh. CML. Cheer My Life. LOL. See what happens when you try to crap. Cheap crap comes out.
These past few months have got me thinking a LOT. Been feeling like I've come to a point where I need to start working on something. And that something is still left a cliff hanger. Something to do with birds & nests. Haha. Still need to be thought about, DEEPER thoughts. Coz maybe I've just been thinking too much & over exaggerating everything. Typical meh.
On an exciting note, a show I've been longing to follow this year, starts this Wednesday! American Idol Season 10! Whoots! So eager to see Ellen Degeneres share a table with Simon Cowell. I love Ellen. Can't express how gratified I am that Paula won't be there to tell people how shiny they are anymore. Even the guest judges look interesting. To top that off, Glee will be on Astro weekly, right after AI. Exciting :)
