Rock The Posts Day 31 : Accomplished!

It's my final Rock The Posts post!!!
31 days, 1 whole month. Well, I may have not posted exactly every single day, but
I managed to post a whole month's post within the time I've set. Happiness is in the air :)

I was a little worried about not sticking to the rules & time limit I've set myself.
Especially having this last day to post the 7 posts accumulated from the days I left unposted.
Today, I actually made notes arranging what I wanted to talk about in which post. LOL.

I really wanted to make sure I posted all RTP posts on time. With today being the last day, I tried my best to complete all 7. I even brought my laptop to the kitchen & blogged while frying the fishes for buka. Hahah, THAT's how comitted I am to my words.

You know, I never thought I would've been able to do it. Was definitely a challenge.
Coz with the amount of stuff I have to do this semester, daily schedules are pretty tight. Not the classes, but the constant work I have to keep doing. Researching at all times. Side works to complete, etc. I had to take up my breaks in between to blog. But of course, as cliche as it is, anything is possible, with a little sacrifice of course :)

Will I be posting more after this? Of course, this is so not the end. Haha, I feel like I'm giving some farewell speech. Naahh, just happy to have accomplished my first ever blog project!! How cool is that? Heee. I'll still be posting, but maybe not as frequent as RTP. Maybe alternate days, or twice a week. We'll see. Thanks loads to the people who actually read my posts, I truly appreciate it. I know there aren't that many, but still thanks Coolios , you rock! :)

Thanks to Farah, who's been RTP-ing the whole month with me on her blog. Love ya babe!!
I hereby announce the Rock The Posts project, CLOSED.

Rock The Posts Day 30 : Wedding That Rocked

Just thought of sharing this really cool video. It's actually a pretty old one.
Ellen showed it on her show a few months back, I think. And it's been talked about in various tv shows in the states. A video of this really unique wedding, so freakin awesome. Check it out.

I've watched it on Ellen's show before, and already forgot about it. Somehow Afi was suddenly watching it again just now. She told me that the bride is actually a dancer & she wanted a dance themed wedding. So instead of the usual 'Here Comes The Bride' slow walk, they rocked the floors to Chris Brown's Forever. Cool much? The video became such a hit. 20 million views!

A few weeks later, this group of dancers came up with this idea of a parody to the couple's wedding video. Instead of a wedding entrance, they made a video of the couple's Divorce entrance. LOL. No harm intended though. It was just for laughs.

The security guards part is hilarious! And I love the slow-mo :)
So gonna do something like this for my wedding! Hahahh, naah. MY wedding's the last thing to think about right now. That's for sho! Hope you enjoyed the videos :)

Rock The Posts Day 29 : Sahurs & Bukas

It's been 8 days since we started fasting & I'm glad I'm still able to wake up for sahur. Usually, after a few days, I'm already sleeping in. Too lazy to wake up. Well, actually I did sleep in, twice. Hehehh, but that's only coz I stayed up till it was already time for sahur, around 4 a.m. ate & slept. Sahur's actually really fun when there are a lot of people up with you.

At home, I'm always with Reda & Farah. Me & Farah will usually set the alarm, and when it goes off, we'll get up and go knocking on Reda's door & he'll join the party ;) Mom's usually already up at the time, making coffee & heating up the food. First couple of days are the typical 'extra rajin' days where we'll eat rice for sahur. Third day in, bread or oats it is! We've developed this routine of preparing our food, & heading straight to the living room to watch tv while we eat. There's usually nothing much to watch early in the morning. So we resorted to watching Bolos & Kelab Pop on Astro Ria every morning. Hahahh.

As lame as the shows are, they're pretty entertaining to watch. They're the kind of shows you'd be embarrassed to admit you like, but secretly enjoy. Hahaha. Kinda like a guilty pleasure.Like for Americans, I heard that a lot of them consider High School Musical to be their guilty pleasure. Hahahh. I love HSM, not embarrassed about it at all.

Anyway, I'm currently looking for a nice steamboat place to break fast with the babes of Malaya. Haha. I'm suddenly having this crave for steamboat. Thought of reserving a table at Kelana Seafood. Little did I know, the place has already been closed down. Dang it. I really liked that place. Still on the lookout.

Seems that I've got a lot of buka meets to look forward to. Babes, class gathering, a maybe You Tube gathering, junior buddy meet. My junior buddy wants to have a buka with our line of buddies. Meaning me, her, her junior & her junior's junior, hahaha. And I'll be like the great granny there. Uihh. Not sure if I'll be able to attend all of them. Kinda broke. But we'll see.

Rock The Posts Day 28 : Current Music Addictions

I think I'm kinda out-dated on this one, Owl City ♥
I have no idea who the heck downloaded an Owl City song on my laptop the other day. I didn't know who or what Owl City was, a movie? a song? Wasn't able to play the song, coz the file was corrupted. Saw someone's status message on MSN saying, "Owl City Rocks!".Who in the world is this Owl City?? Days later, saw this really cool music video on MTV, and the song's pretty rad too.

And when the credits came out at the end, Fireflies by Owl City. Whoots!
I wanted to embed the real music video, but embedding's disabled. Darn it. But take a listen to their latest song. Another one from Owl City I like is called Vanilla Twilight. Yummy title eyh? Haha. I'm so addicted to their songs right now, I could play them on repeat all day. Their music's a combination of Mika's creativity plus the sounds of Coldplay & soul of The Script. All three that I like mucho. The songs are relaxing, drifts you away from reality for awhile. Owl City DOES Rock! :)

Since we're on the topic of music. Have you guys heard Miley Cyrus' new song, Party In The USA? Like it? Yes? No? I am totally digging it :) She hasn't done a music video for it yet, but she twittered this video made by a bunch of guys using her song. Very cool, but so funny!

My favourite part's the one in the pool, when they popped out of the water one by one and carried the dude towards the camera. LMAO. They're so freakin funny. I've read a lot of websites saying Miley's music has evolved from her generic teen pop music, that she's gaining a little more respect from critics. She's got this new song called When I Look At You. Awesomeness.

I think she's got an amazing voice, & is now definitely going the into right direction with her music. My siblings & I are huge (not really la, haha) Miley supporters. I don't really like to say much on Facebook's "What's on your mind?", like to keep it low. Maybe once in awhile, for crap's sake. But Tiqah's always all-out, that every time she mentions Miley her friends will be commenting back saying "Euw" and whatnot. So lame. Hahaa. Whatever it is, Tiqah's a friggin power debater. She'll debate em till the end, be it 30 or 40 comments. LMAO.

I seriously couldn't care less. Debating 'kids' are so not worth my time :P
Till then

Rock The Posts Day 27 : Attention Please

I have a pretty short attention span, like a lot of people, I guess? NOT proud of it.
Whenever I'm studying, doing my homework, researching or even thinking of something, I'd stop every few minutes. Turn to Facebook, You Tube or my blog ( as lame as it seems, I like re-reading my own posts, ngehehh). Ohh and Twitter! My new mate :) It's shitty when you can't get your work done because of it, but it somehow still has that umpphh of fun to it. Psychohh.

I think it's called procrastination? Man, I can't help it.
Most of the time, you know there's nothing new on your Facebook, but somehow you just HAVE TO check it again, and again, and again, and again. I've stopped the application addiction on FB long time ago. I used to be so into Mob Wars, that I'm practically a zillionaire or something now. I've got like tonnes of casinos, apartments, restaurants, etc. And my bank's digits have passed the sixes. Got so rich that I got bored it, coz there was nothing else left to do. LOL. If only it were for real. Dream on Aqila. DREAM on.

As for Twitter, I installed this add-on called Twitter Fox, which'll constantly notify me on every single update from the people I'm following. I've got like 60 people on my list. So practically ever 2-3minutes there'll be new updates popping up on the south-east of my screen. So it's like,
I'm doing my work...
I'm thinking..thinking....Tweet tweet!
Continue thinking..thinking..Tweet tweet!

With me, being one with the GREATEST of all concentration abilities, I can concentrate alright! Always looking at that blue 't' for new numbers to come up. Enjoy reading them though :)
Especially when I get to see pics like this

How awesome does Kim look here? Amazeballs! LOL.
You can go to Kim's blog to see more, if you want :)

A lot of cool new videos too. You Tube contributes a lot to my attempts at creativity. Whether it works or not, I'm liking it so far :) OKAY, so maybe having a short attention span & procrastination isn't that big of a deal. It's manageable? As much as it ticks me off sometimes, it leads to stuff I like. Hehehh. So, just manage-Lah! :)

Rock The Posts Day 26 : Raya Heaven

Yesterday, I spent the WHOLE day delivering cookies & tarts for raya with momzie. It seems pretty early, but some people just can't help but be raya enthusiasts. Early preparation's what they go for. And that includes, both decorations & food. Now give them a round of applause. LOL. On the other hand, some are just fulfilling their sweet tooth needs during the fasting month. Don't we all have em? Sweet tooth :)

All year round, mom sells them cookies & tarts home-made by friends, and is usually promoted by word of mouth. We don't really make flyers or blogs for it. The goods sold, are all ones we really like. Meaning,we sell them BECAUSE we've tried them ourselves & really LIKE them. So, no blind selling there, that's a no no. Business is usually pretty good during festival seasons.

The chocolate chip cookies, one of the popular favourites coz it taste almost similar to the Famous Amous cookies. Serious! Well, not as havoc of course, but it's really good. One of my favourites too :) Plus, its way cheaper than FA for sho ;)

Chocolate covered cornflakes with honey & nuts. My favourite of all :)
As you can obviously see from the pictures, you have a choice of brown or white chocolate.
I love recommending it to my friends, coz it's slightly different from the usual raya cookies.

All packed in boxes, ready to be delivered! Whoosh. Yesterday was tiring.
We went to about 7 different places, and they were all at different ends of the state.
Even after buka-ing, we continued with the deliveries. It was fun though, hung out with my mom the whole day. She's crazy, in a good way, haha.

Mom gets a lot of calls for the pineapple tarts, which I didn't get the chance to snap a picture of, coz the first batch were all sold out, lol. Home-mades are definitely way better than the factory-made ones in stores. Coz they're made with passion ;) And and, LOVE for food :) Not heartless machines, ha!

Well, if you feel the sudden urge of wanting to make friends with any of the cookies, feel free to contact me on facebook , or here's good too. Or just email me :) LOL, I wasn't even intending to promote, just wanted to show you guys what I was up to yesterday. But since you've already seen the pics & recommendations, why not eyh? Haha.

Rock The Posts Day 25 : Worth the Paid-for-Charcoal

So it turns out that, I DIDN'T have that much time on my hands. Coz right after I posted the previous post, it occurred to me that I've got priorities to obey. And assignments, studies in general definitely come before others including this. As much as I love THIS, I have to work beyond the edges to complete as much as I can to produce results with quality. And so, I stayed up the whole of last night working on it & finally slept after sahur, after Subuh.

Now now, don't let words fool you. I know I know, if this was someone else's blog & I read that first paragraph, I'd be like, "Rajin siooodd". Nope. I had a lot of breaks in between. And when I say 'a lot', I mean A LOT. Ahh well, I managed to accomplish 3/4 of it, and the rest is allowable for me to put aside for awhile to end this RTP battle of I started :) Booyah!

Alright, so moving on. Last Thursday I received an email congratulating me on winning 2 tickets to the premiere screening of Final Destination : Rest In Pieces on the 1st of September, next week :) We were told that the results will be informed on Friday, but I got it on Thursday evening. Ha!

Yeah, that I Don't Want To Rest In Pieces Like Final Destination post I posted with the ohh-so-lovely pics of my so-called horrified faces. Ngahah, was all worth it. And apparently worth the paid-for-charcoal. Also, thanks to my bro Reda, who'll be my date for the premiere coz he was the one who chose the photo location & snapped the pics for me. Thanks mengada!! :)

Just for the fun of it, I decided to show you guys the variety of faces I tested to get the right picture, hahahh. Most of them ended up looking like an outrage of sadness instead of horrified. The face in the bottom row, 2nd from right was intentional. Saw that most of my attempts at horrified expressions were leaning more to cries, I started doing cries for the last few snaps, just for kicks.

The make up idea was so random. One of my friends who didn't know anything about the contest, actually thought I was doing some kind of emo photo shoot. He even asked me what technique I used for the make up, or if it was photoshopped. LOL. I suck big time at photoshopping, so there's no way I could have photoshopped it. Effects I use are usually for real. Like the eyeliner & lipstick stain, haha. Maybe minor edits like, the contrast & brightness edited in Microsoft Picture Manager. That's all :) I'm pretty much old-school when it comes to editing. Even my videos are edited in Windows Movie Maker. No big shot film editors.

I'll be posting about the premiere fo sho!
Till then

P.S. Watch out for the tsunami of RTPs coming ahead!

Rock The Posts Day 24 : Gladiator Fats

Today's suppose to be RTP day 29. Man, I'm 5 days behind!! Bummer. But I had to do what needed to be done. I've managed to complete half of what was holding me back, so now I have enough time on my hands & I shall be striving to finish what I started. So Biggest Loser-ish, haha. To finish what I started! I have like, 7 posts to be done by the 29th of August! Dayuuumn! That's in like, 2 days!! Will I be able to accomplish that? I really hope so! Coz I don't have class tomorrow, and it's already the weekend :) 2 whole days. Lets do this! Whoots!

We're 6 days into the month of Ramadhan. How's fasting been for you guys? The first day was fun for me, coz the whole family was home except for Tiqah who couldn't make it home due to the piles of work accumulated during her 1 week MC. Aww. I like it when my dad's home, coz he likes bringing us to the bazaars. And I like going to bazaars coz I like checking out people there. Hahaa. Of course, the food too. Basically, the whole environment, lots of people, lots of delectables. Niiice ;)

Most of the food sold at Bazaars are usually the same every year, that I've developed a few favourites. Kuih keria, Tepung Pelita & the Assam boi drink. Woot woot! Sometimes when I'm not craving for anything in particular, I'd resort to buying those three things anyway. It's called looove. Lol. First few days of fasting is exciting, but also pretty tough, especially for the body. Maybe it's just me, but I don't know I've been pretty weak. Weak as a twig. Are twig's weak? Ngahahh. Been staying up really late & then, waking up really early these past few days. Darn projects. Woke up with a MASSIVE headache on Tuesday, & didn't even go to class.

I'm thinking, it could be my friendly fats battling the no-food attacks.
There were barely any mask-wearers at the bazaars.
Maybe a lot of people've realized the could-be-complot?
Half an hour left till bukaaa.

Rock The Posts Day 23 : Random Kicks

Didn't do much yesterday.Attempted some assignments, hence the absence of an update. Afi's back for the weekend. Yayness :) Plus, it's already the fasting month! How cool is that? Was telling my friends through my sms wishes, how time is flying by so fast these days. Ahh well, the fasting month's definitely a month to look forward to :)

Anyway, just some videos I thought of sharing :

I'm sure most of you've seen this on TV. This one's friggin funny, okay! Hilarious! Afi & I were so lifeless last night, we kept repeating the video so many times, & laughed our butts off every time. The karaoke girl's face has GOT TO BE the driving force to the ad's comedic achievement, man. Muke so tak bleh bla!! Hahaa. Yeah! Yeah! Yeah 3x! LMAO.

Alright now. Moving over from comedy to music yumminess. Ngehehh :P The dude's called Gabe Bondoc? I think. Actually, Taylor Swift herself twittered this video. Coz he sang the awesomest cover of Love Story. If you know the lyrics to the song, try comparing it with his, it's so cute. Haha. You know how the song involves Romeo & Juliet, right. He sings it in Romeo's point of view.

My favourite part is that, in reply to when Taylor sings :
I got tired of waiting, wondering if you were ever coming around,
My faith in you is fading...

He sings :
I'm sure she's tired of waiting.

Swear I'm on my way, just had to work some things out!

I hope her faith's not fading..

Aside from that, isn't he just a cutie? I am totally diggin the Batman Tee & the oldschool glasses *screams* Hahaha. Watched the vid with Farah & got all dreamy. LOL.But of course, his voice rocks, no doubt. I noticed from his other You Tube videos that he's more of the jazzy type. There was this one video, where he made a cover of Chris Brown's 'Forever'. Sweetnesss.

It seems that now is like, the era of Vampire Looove. Another vampire book series brought to the small screen. Also, one that I've never read. The preview looks interesting though! :) I think I've read about this on Aimee's blog? But that was months ago, & I totally forgot about Ian Somerhalder being in it. So when Afi & I saw him in the preview, it was like whoosh! Afi screamed, literally. Haha. Ohh yeaaaah ;) Plus, he's the shape shifter for this series. Hahaa. Whoots.

Man, there's a LOT to watch this fall.
Happy Fasting to all Muslims! Be good Rock stars eyh? :)

Rock The Posts Day 22 : Drive Like The Wind, No?

Went to see my supervisor today, to discuss the thesis. Sara & I actually rehearsed who was gonna say what before entering the office. Hahaa. That's how it's gonna be every week, I don't know? Natural pre-meet nerves, which usually turns out to be no big deal. I mean, we all know "It's gonna be OKAY" right, but the nerves are just something we can't help, can we.

Was waiting for Tiqah to fetch me from campus :)

Sometimes they take so long to get there, that I evolve from stoning to doing whatever. First it's the infamous hand phone fiddle, you know, the I'm-smsing-but-not-really strategy to past the time. I've never tried the I'm-calling-but-not-really one though :P When that gets boring, I make myself read the posters & ads at the bus stop, even though I've been reading them everyday when I wait at that same spot. Haha.

Today, I recorded my footsteps as I walked around. Circled the bus stop a few times, till I saw Tiqah coming from afar. You'll have a better sense of how bored I was if you see the numerous bus stop video making attempts I made. I actually thought of posting the videos here, but it would've been a whole 10 minutes of nothingness. I've tried reading while waiting, doesn't work for me. Nope.

Enough about my boredom relief strategies.
As most of you already know, I haven't driven for quite some time now. It's been like, 3 years I think. Crazy right? Gosh, I've sooo lost touch. Somehow I decided to give it a try today. To you know, practice a little to get the hand of it. Reda accompanied me, & I drove around the housing area behind my house.

It's tough for me to get used to driving an SUV, coz I'm not really good at estimating how left or right I should be, especially on really narrow roads. There was this one time while I was driving with Reda just now, suddenly Reda was like, "Qilaa! Why are you driving so to the left?!". I was like, "Why??", & when I looked on his side, there were like huge tree bushes slapping the car window as I drove, pshh pshh pshh. LMAO.

It was so funny, I kept accidentally stepping on the accelerator while laughing, which caused the car to jerk a lot. The hardest part is when I wanna get back into my house gate, which's on the main road. The cars passing by there are like, REALLY fast, it's scary! I went in the wrong way & got stuck there, we had to wait for the road to clear so I could reverse & get a better angle to attempt at going in again. It was too scary, so instead of reversing & going in straight, I reversed out and made another round. Exchanged seats with Reda ,& he drove us back home. It seemed so easy for him. In fact, easy for EVERYONE, except me. Boo hoo.

Man, I suck at driving. (-_-").
I've got a LONG way till I get it right. No giving up, man!

Rock The Posts Day 21 : Orphan Review

I didn't want there to be too many photos in one post. That's why I'm doing the review separately :)

Anyway,I thought it was really good psychotic movie. Usually when it's lame & predictable, I can tell from the very beginning. This one however, was a suspenseful curiosity builder. A pretty gory one too. And at times, you feel like you wanna reach into the screen and slap the girl. Haha. Seriously!

The story revolves around this married couple, John & Kate with 2 kids. They were expecting a baby girl, but unfortunately ended up losing the unborn child. Culminating with the loss, they decided to adopt an elder child thinking it's the best way to heal & compensate for the loss.

So at the orphanage, of all the kids that were there, they noticed Esther, this 9 year old who seems different & doesn't socialize much with the others. However, very well mannered, matured, intelligent & very artistic.

When they first brought her to the house, everything seemed to be fine. Later on, however, an alarming series of tragic events begins to unfold, leading Kate to believe that something isn’t right—this seemingly angelic little girl is perhaps not what she appears to be.

I guess that's about all I should mention. Haha. Don't wanna spoil it for ya ;)
What I liked about the movie was the angles they used. You know at certain angle shots, there'll be something that'll make you jump out of your seats. Like scenes in a car, when you see that the window is conquering the screen vs. the person, you just know there's gonna be something or someone coming that way. They used a lot of that in this movie minus the seat jumping that comes after.

They used that angle-shot technique a lot, to keep the suspense going, which was a pretty good strategy? I've gotta tell ya, the ending is damn unexpected. Aside from the psychothic-ness, you would never expect THAT conclusion. I say, it's definitely worth watching :)

“I think a villain like this is interesting to watch,” states producer Joel Silver. “You wouldn’t want to see her in the real world, but it’s fun to see her in a movie.”

Not much of a movie critic, but I tried. Hahahh.

Rock The Posts Day 21 : Orphan Premiere Screening

As mentioned in the previous post, Farah & I went for the Premiere Screening of Orphan last night :) We were told that the ticket counter was to open from 8 to 9pm. So, about an hour before that, got ready, & off we went. Arrived there pretty early & we saw a long line at the cinema lobby.

As all human brains would assume from observation, we headed there & waited in line. About 10 minutes in, we started to notice that there were other counters open there too. Coz apparently, Nuffnang wasn't the only one organizing the premiere. There was Cinema Online, Astro, MyFM, Spotlite & I don't know who else. There were about 5 tables open at the same time. Were we in the right line? NOPE (-_-").

Got out of it & just waited at the sides. Another 15minutes in, and we saw a line being formed, a REALLY long one. But the sign on table said something else. So we thought, okay definitely not that one. COntinued waiting, we had a blast alright (-_-).

After half of that REALLY long line got their tickets, we saw one of the GSC staff head to the table & took out the paper from the plastic stand thing , and slipped in a new one which said 'Nuffnang'. Right at that moment, all the cusses in the world came flowing outta my mouth like the Nile river on a Tuesday evening. Wooo. Fo shizzle muh nizzle. Haha. Lesson learnt : Next time, JUST ASK!!

By the time we got the tickets, we had like half an hour before the movie started. Went straight to Jusco & got ourselves some Tako Tao! :) Time was friggin limited, so we had to eat up fast. The takos were fresh from the grills, we were practically blowing out fire trying to finish them up. Despite the shittiness, we managed to get to our seats & snap some pics before the lights were off :) Ohh, & right after we handed our tickets at the entrance,

Farah Me
18 PL movie for you, baby!
Haha, tu yang kene buat muka sombong2 sket bile bagi ticket.
Hahaha, ohh so kalau sombong2 tu nampak tua la? Kalau senyum2, budak kecik?
Hahaha tahh la, buat je sombong2 biar lepas.

For the first time ever, we got seats on the side, you know the ones couples usually take, next to the wall. Haha. When you're there, the walls aren't as sound proof. You keep hearing echos from the hall next door. Or was I hearing something else? o_O
It was pretty comfy though.

The event was overall pretty good. All went well. It was funny knowing that all the people who were in line & the ones in the same cinema hall are bloggers. Like myself, they were snapping pictures here & there for their blogs. Haha. Didn't really get to talk to any of them, coz what do u expect, it's a movie screening, not an actual gathering. Fun was what we had :)

Movie review coming up.

Rock The Posts Day 20 : Moonig & Premieres

I wasted a lot of eyeliner for my previous post. LOL. But for the sake of Final Destination premiere tickets, I guess it's worth using up some dark-paid-for-charcoal :) As simple as the pictures look, it was friggin tiring to get the right expression they want : horrified. I'll show you how the others went wrong in the posts to come. Not that the final outcome turned out right anyway. All the face stretching, must've lost like 5pounds off my face there. Haha. The things I do for free flicks.

Tiqah, me & Afi when we were once dwarfs.

Just had lunch a while ago with mum, when Redza, my brother suddenly came & mooned her. LMFAO. That idiot. He just HAD to do it when food was involved. Ohh & speaking of food, I had to cook today :) Stayed up till about 5am last night searching stuff for my thesis, & got shooked up at 10am to cook, coz mom was out. With eyes I could barely open, managed to prepare a yummifying dish for the mobsters. But maan, every time I fry catfish, it never, I repeat NEVER comes out with it's skin on. Fuglayhh as heck! Gotta train harder to get that right the next time. Hmmph!

Anyway, Tiqah showed me this trailer yesterday :

So cute!! It stars the voices of Andy Samberg & Anna Faris.
Haha, can't wait till that comes out.

I got an email yesterday telling me I won a pair of tickets to watch the premiere screening of Orphan tonight :) Hehee, so excited! I decided to bring Farah, since she's been the one to hear me blabb on about the contest & all. Haha, didn't think I had the chance. But so thankful! :)
I'll definitely fill ya in on it tomorrow :)

I Don’t Want to Rest in Pieces like Final Destination

I mean, why would I ?!
Having someone tell me my destiny, especially when it's a negative one.
Having to see the bloody death of a bunch people, be it a plane crash, a massive car accident, a roller coaster ride gone wrong, or a race car catastrophe?!

Knowing my time to die is just so close, & having the privilege of knowing when's my turn.
A privilege? Is it? Is knowing when to run away from death a privilege?
Or the most appalling thing ever? It is horrifying. Period.

I mean, everybody will die someday.
But if it's like in Final Destination, you know there's going to be blood.
And you know, your body is not going to be a whole, once it's done. Nope, not at all.

And then, you start to think.

Will my head get chopped off? Or will I get shot by a dozen nails on my face?
Do I get grilled in a tanning bed? Or get hit by a bus? A giant billboard sign?
Those questions linger in your head, till your time comes.
Only time will tell. Speaking of time, the clock is ticking.
Preparation won't do you any good.

Once it's all over & done with, where will your soul go?
Terrifying, no? What's definite is..

I Don't Want to Rest in Pieces like Final Destination!!
Till then

PS. it's a contest. & yes, I can be twisted :)

Rock The Posts Day 18 : Action Dreams

Have you ever fallen asleep while doing something, & dream of still doing whatever it was you were. You feel like you've gone a long way & achieved so much, but wake up to nothing. Back to the starting line. Achievement? Nada. Rest? Maybe, but hardly. Your brains played you.

I get that a lot during exam week. Or anything similar, speeches, MC-ing, etc (not that I give speeches or mc a lot, hahaha). The night before the the actual event. In my dreams, I'm happy & all relaxed, coz I've 'supposedly' got everything in hand. Gone through the pages, understood everything, memorized them all. Ready to rumble! In the end, I wake up to last night's leftovers. No matter how much I've covered the night before, it seems like I'm waay behind on a lot more.

Where am I going with this? I have no idea. Haha, just wanted to share it here, coz I fell asleep while researching for my thesis yesterday, & missed out on a lot of findings. Hate it when that happens! Grrr. But I guess that's part of where phrases come from. Dream hard, dream well, TAKE ACTION! :)

Ohh, Farah came back from my uncle's hotel wedding last night and brought back these!

The chocolate hearts were delectable! Tasted like Bueno.
ChocHeartz, my YouTube name, LMAO.
Delectable indeed :)

Rock The Posts Day 17 : Blood-worthy

Just watched the latest episode of True Blood yesterday. It just gets better every time. Felt the need of talking about it in this post :)

After 1 whole season plus a few recent episodes I've watched, I've definitely got to know the characters a little more, in terms of their background, personality, etc. Consequently, I've grown to like a couple of them slightly more than the others. Hoo haa!

He owns a bar in Bon Temps called Merlotte's, which is one of the main sets of where most of the scenes take place. Also, the bar where the main character, Sookie Stackhouse waitresses & meets Bill Compton the lead vamp. Sam Merlotte's this really soft spoken guy who's easily lead into falling for women he has even the slightest connection with. Unfortunately, he's somehow always unlucky in love. The women he falls for either dies, is in love with a vamp, or is too insecure to let him in, or works for Satan. LOL, poor Sam. He's a victim of looooove.

Well, little do people know he's actually a shape shifter. I don't know why, but I'm somehow always drawn to like the shape shifter more. Like in Twilight, I'm totally Team Jacob! Hahahh. Coz like Edward Cullen, Bill Compton was hot & all at the beginning, but the hotness easily faded once they started elaborating more on Sam's character ;) In Twilight, Jacob Black phases into a wolf because his kind originated from shape shifting into wolves. In True Blood however, Sam shape shifts into a dog. Kinda the same thing, but Sam gets to choose what he wants to shape shift into. Strawberry blond hair & blue eyes, I cannot resist. Hahaa.

In True Blood, the vampires have Sheriffs for every area. Eric Northman's the Sheriff for Area Five, which includes the small town of Bon Temps. In the first season, he was portrayed as quite the bad vamp. But the as the season continues till recently in season 2, his character really starts to come across. Eric's maker, Appius Livius Ocella also known as Godrick is the Sheriff of all Sheriffs. And I guess, what's attractive about him is his love & devotion towards his maker. To see someone who seemed so cold & heartless to just let his guards down for someone, definitely alters perspectives.

In the latest episode, it seems that he's starting to fall for Sookie Stackhouse, creating a maybe-love-triangle, I don't know. But I'm sure excited to see what happens :)

Aahh, fictional characters, gotta love em!

Rock The Posts Day 16 : White & Blue

Went for my uncle's wedding last night. By the time we got back, I was so exhausted, I almost fell asleep in my baju kurung. Which explains the post delay, sorreyhh :)

Got there super early, coz mom had to help out. It was just Redza & myself. Farah was busy in the make up room, coz she was one of the flower girls. Whoots! Super early, as in an hour before it says "arrival of guests" in the agenda. So, me & Redza had the 'time of our lives', sitting there & watching humans going back & forth, preparing stuff. Abandoned by our very own momzayy, we just sat there. The whole scene & decoration was beautiful, though. Compliments to the wedding planner! :)

The theme was white & blue, light blue. Very chic! If you see the walk way right next to the table, they had a ghazal band playing on a small stage, with malay-ish instruments (lol, I have no clue what they're called). Live music, awesomeness.

Didn't get the chance to snap the bride & groom's thrones set, which were also brilliantly designed. White background with blue roses :) I guess you can say, that's the only thing I like about weddings, besides the food. Anything other than that, pfft. Didn't really snap much, due the fact that I only snap when I'm bored. So the exciting parts when my uncle arrived with the kompang & all, I didn't get to capture. Plus, there were too many photographers that night. I swear if I'd seen another SLR that night, it would've been a puke-fest.

They got the right & left neighbours to lend their porches for the rest of the guest tables.
My grand uncle seems to have LOADS of connections. Thus, the VIP guest that night was Pak Lah. I seriously thought they were joking about it. But he really came, with his wife. So all the makciks there were all at their best behaviour, all extra-friendly, seemed like a certain particular group of em were hoping to win the 'Jean Abdullah's BFF' title. Haha, I'm just writing what I've been observing, ya'll!

Ohh, and they put up white sakura flowers, with blue lights on em at the entrance. That, I LIKED. It was very prom-ish. Even though I've never been to a prom, LOL. Saw the bride for the first time that night, gorgeous. I was told that, she's a Muslim Cambodian-American. Looked very Malay though.

The children.

Redza & I had one of the front tables there at the beginning. But suddenly a group Datos & wig-wearing Datins crashed at our table, so with utmost respect, we left (-_-) AND joined the rock star crowd at the 'moshpitt' of the wedding. They had big screens for the outside people to watch whatever was happening inside the house. The ceremony took so friggin long, the guests were starving.

Poor Farah, the makeup artistes made her look so draggy, she didn't attend school the next day. Hahaha. Suke hati mak bapak diorg, they went & did her brows. She's only 16 years old for god's sake.

This post seems to have no flow. But it's all on the table, right. So, yeah :)

Rock The Posts Day 15 : Limitations & A Congratulation

Sad to say, the PRIVATE web series is no longer available for Malaysian viewing. Sigh. The night I watched the first episode happened to be the premier of it. So, I'm guessing they haven't set the country viewing limitation at the time. Sorry :( I don't get it, do other countries have to pay or something, for the web series to be available there? Aihh.

Anyway, Sarah came to the house today to work on our thesis. At MY house okay. So, MY house meaning, I'd be in my shorts & definitely tudung-less, right. We were done with whatever needed to be done for the thesis research, & decided to practice the new stuff we learnt from yesterday's guitar lesson. Messaged our friend Izzat before that, coz he said he wanted to join us practice. We wanted to be sure if I should be expecting him any time of the day. He said he wasn't able to make it coz there was a massive traffic jam in campus, due to the convocation going on that evening.

Speaking of the convo, CONGRATS Hilman of Hilmanisms :)
And others I know, but aren't aware of the existence of my bloggosphere.

Okay, back to the story. So, alrighty, Izzat won't be coming. Proceed. Approximately 10 minutes later, Sarah's phone rings, & the dude's already at my door step. Very efficient at informing, mister. I had to use my gift of 'speed' to change to lengthy pants & swoop on a tudung and ended up winning a pageant, an elaborate public spectacle illustrative of the history of a place, institution, or the like, often given in dramatic form or as a procession of colorful floats. Thanks dictionary. LOL. Okay fine, so it was uncomfortable.

It actually went pretty well. Hung out at the living room. Thought each other stuff with the guitar, chillaxed & ended up watching tv.

Me Sarah Izzat
Alaa, if only I could bring you to my room.
Hahahaha Hahaha, what??
Haha, noo I mean, I'm so used to having girl friends come over
& I prefer hanging out in my room, with the tv & the laptop & stuff.

Hahah yeahh I know, coz he's a guy.
That's why. If guys come, I have to just hang around here. So tak best.

Limitations. Gotta work your way around em to get the good out of it. Had fun though :)
