Update, A Promise & A Rant

I actually recorded a really crappy audio blog about a week ago, but decided not to post it, coz I felt that it might've just wasted 10 minutes of any innocent being's life.

I was helping my mom cook awhile ago, and damn, frying chicken feet is bloody scarry. It's like a battlefield. lol. It was pretty funny seeing my mom do it at first, coz she was jumping around everytime she dropped a piece of chicken in the frying pan, and all I did was laugh at the side. When it was my turn to take over, the first chicken feet I dropped in, started popping like nobody's business, and the oil aimed directly to my face. Ouch! (that hurt BAD). The left side of my face's already scarred enough, from the last virus that hit me when I was in matriculation about 2-3 years ago. NOW, I don't want any additions to that.

Anyway, there're a few things I want to talk about, and I think it'd be best that I write em down in a form of a list, since I tend to get pretty disorganized when I have a lot to say.

1st Week in Campus
was pretty much like every other '1st week' in campus. Different schedule, didn't really get to meet all my coursemates since a lot of the classes has different groups, and we're all like, divided & torn apart & taken away from each other. How sad & tragic! It never hit me, how nerve wrecking it is to be in the 3rd year, until we were told to register for the Industrial Training workshops. I started being all 'zombie' like, coz in my mind, I was busy forming the lists of things I have to start working on. Loads.

I'm just glad that I'm finally retired from PKUM, and free to do other things, not just physically, but mentally too, since I don't have to go thru all the extra stress when I'm doing something that's not related to PKUM or uni-work. I'm still working on training myself to be able to maintain a good balance in my life. What I mean by 'balance' is the ability of concentrating on the things I like, like writing, twilighting & JUST recently, reading, lol, & not neglecting what's important like my family & studies.

I may have potrayed myself as an undisciplined person (lol, which I'm certainly NOT), since I've failed to update my blog weekly, and I know 'busy' is definitely NOT an excuse.Therefore, I'm making it a point, that I will post at least twice a week, every week from now on. And to the people who actually follow my blog, I grant you, full permission to shoot me, if I'm not able to perform as promised ;) And please, get ur gun license first ;P


TwiHards Anonymous Audition
There's this new channel on youTube created by Twilighters, TwiHards, in which I found out about, from my Twilight bestee, Emma ;D It's basically a channel that consists of 7 Twilight lovers, assigned to all 7 days of the week, who'll be making videos every week, expressing everything & anything they want about the Twilight Saga, Stephenie Meyer, the Twilight Movie, the release of Breaking Dawn, etc, in any simple or creative way they decide to do so. It's actually just like normal vlogging, only that it involves more of Twilight.How fun is that! Weeee! They're currently having auditions for the 7 spots.

I got all excited about it, and decided to try out! We were suppose to make a video, answering the questions they listed down, & basically just try to make it as creative as possible,be real, be ourselves & hopefully they'll like what they see.I'm not sure how I did, but the results are coming out on the 17th, and I really don't mind if I don't get it, coz it was fun enough, auditioning. Slightly embarrassing, but FUN.

Embarrassing UM Letter in The Star
I was flipping thru The Star newspaper yesterday, and I usually I like to check out the reader's letters section. In BIG BOLD letters, a letter that caught my attention, "Varsity letter instils fear & hatred". And right there, comfortably screaming for attention in the very first paragraph, stated 'University Malaya'. All I could remember repeating in my head as I was reading that embarrassing piece of illustration, was WTF?!

If you haven't read it, here's part of it :

I READ with concern a letter issued by the current head of graduates of
Universiti Malaya to all Malay undergraduates in the university. This letter
contains an endorsement from the university's 'Hal Ehwal Pelajar & Alumni'.
A photograph of the sender was proudly attached.

This letter advocates racial divide and instils fear and hatred for one
race against another. The non-Malays are referred to in a derogatory manner and
the Malays are instigated to prepare for an impending racial clash.

I can't even find the right words to describe how much it affects how I feel as a Malay student in University of Malaya. The whole 'racial issue' has always been one of my concerns ever since I entered university life, coz it has never been an issue when I was in school. One of the main reasons why I chose to study in UM is because of the multi racial mix. However, I never expected the level of stupidity JUST based on racial respect to be that BAD.

I just can't stand Malays being judged the wrong way, based on the f---ed up doings of certain groups of people who actually believe that we're so weak, that we have to fight against the impending racial clash. HELLO, have some friggin confidence! All the bulls--- about us going down the drain is totally unacceptable. Coz I believe that we're all capable of achieving success for Malaysia, no matter what race, Malay, Chinese, Indian, etc. Everyone is just as good as each other & we all have to learn things the hard way. So if you think you might not be able to get a job in the future, just because you 'think' other races are better, I'd tell you "GET YOUR BUTT OFF THE FREAKIN COUCH AND START STUDYING BI--H!".

We're in the 21st century for God's sake! Those topics shouldn't even be an issue anymore. It should be extinct! It just gives me a headache everytime I think about it.

Sorr for the swearing, it just really gets on my nerves.
