Twilight-Sober

Last week, I finally received the package I was asked to look out for. I honestly had no idea what the package was gonna be, because it was suppose to be a suprise belated birthday gift from my good friend Ikmal. Thanks loads man! :D

He got me Twilight badges from the States! Awww :) The Twilight cover, Edward Cullen (ngahahhh), The Cullen Crest, Edward & Bella, and James. Haha, I guess it was a pretty easy call for him, with all the 'fang'-girl-ish activities I've been broadcasting for the past year. Little does he know, I've been Twilight-sober for quite a while now. LMAO. I still love Twilight though, it's just that I'm not as eager to constantly update & induldge myself with Twi-news, etc.

I guess you can say, I have graduated from the Twi-madness. In other words, I still love Twilight, always will, but now I'm more in control of containing myself. Hahahahahha. (What a load of dunk!). In other, other words, I don't :
  • Check every Twilight website there is EVERYDAY for updates.I've actually bookmarked a LONG list of websites on my firefox. :P
  • Constantly check the MPH online store for new Twilight related books.
  • COnstantly check E-bay to check out Twilight merchandise.
  • Tune into E News to be the first to know about the casting of characters, to blabb about it in class. Muahahahha :D
  • Save every Twilight photoshoot photos in my special Twi-folder.lol.
  • Visit the websites of each of the actors of the Twilight characters.
  • Make video blogs about Twilight. My 'Twicked Twilighters' channel on Yotube is practically dead now. LOL. Poor subscribers :( Haha.
  • Obsess over Taylor Lautner. Uhh, maybe a silent scream or two, when I see him on TV. Ngeheee x)
  • Recruit new Twilighters.
  • Etcetra.
That was me like, 2-3 months ago. What can I say, I got sucked in the fanatic loop. A few of the Twilighters I've recruited (lol), have actually reached that point where I USED to be, and now they're constantly using that "I know more about Twilight than you" power thing on me, expecting to sweep me off my feet. Haha, that might have made me jealous 3 months ago,
but it ain't gonna work anymore babe! ;P

Stiched em badges on my bag! Weeee :)

Hearts to Ikmal, I really like em :D The only thing I kinda got pissed about, was the post people. It seems like their earning extra ringgits for nothing. You know, that 'Express Post' thing they've got where you pay extra for a 'guaranteed to reach destination tomorrow' upper hand, it's so bogus. I've tried using it before to post some important 'i-need-it-fast' stuff to my sister in Perak, and it took almost a week to reach her. Isn't that just like using the normal post service? And I paid like, almost RM5 for it. The postman won't even hon to get the receiver's signature, they juz drop it into the mailbox. Perghh (-_-)

It could be just the service in my area, but I don't know.
What's wrong with ppl these days.
False promises, it's ridiculous.

Lily's Day

HAPPY 22ND BIRTHDAY
Suhaili Mat Said <3

We were roomies for a whole semester. Short period, but fun times :)
That didn't avoid us from hangin'. We're coursemates, still are.
One of the most laid back & coolest chick I know, yet she's one smart ass :P
She drives me on her rockin' bike sometimes, eventho I'm like a huge scaredy-cat when it comes to bumps on the road (shoot me :P), and eventho the distance's like a 1minute walk in our faculty, HAHA ;D
A rock chick who obsesses over the music of Avenged Sevefold.

And proud wife of Luffy :)

This is starting to sound like an obituary, lmao!
But yeahh, Lily's one awesome friend :)
Hope you have the BEST year of your life babe.
Luvs.

Hearts to Sam Tsui

I've always been a fan of musicals, Grease, Fame, Sweeny Todd, Mamma Mia, Highschool Musical, etc. or anything close it. About a month ago, I subscribed to this channel on YouTube, handled by this dude called Kurt Hugo, which posts a lot of really cool singing & musical-like videos made by him & his college friends. I have a feeling they might be art (drama, music, etc) students, or maybe just REAALLY talented people. I'm not sure, but they sure seem like it.

Remember the video I previously posted, the cover of Flo Rida's 'Sugar'? Yeahh, that's a Kurt Hugo video too! :) Talk about talent ey?

And one of my recent favourites from the channel is their College Musical series. It's basically a musical comedy. They've only made 2 episodes so far, but they've been getting really good response from viewers. Why? See for yourself.Enjoy!

They're hilarious! The ideas they come up with, the script, the song lyrics & arrangements are just too good. I love the lead male's voice. His name's Sam Tsui.

Just yesterday, they posted a video of Sam doing a cover of Leona Lewis's song, Run.
Pure awesomeness :D

Aaahh, I have so much to do, yet so much of my pensamientos to share! Juz wanted to share some awesome here, so there u go, a TEEEENSY bit of it for now ;)
Till then <3

Today's Have You Ever(s)

Have you ever felt so unsatisfied or mad when there's been a disagreement towards something you like or stand for, even if it's the smallest of things, smallest of matters?

Have you ever felt that you've been optimistic about things, and never had a problem with others who speak their mind, coz it's their's to speak, and coz you know you do too, but sometimes, they just get so insecure they go overboard that it's almost similar to someone who's scraping off mould from an already moulded bread, that it makes you sick, and you just can't take it anymore?

Have you ever thought that continuous questionning on one's choices in life can reach to a point where it's not curiosity anymore, but plain judgmentalism, and that one who does the questionning should just leave their comfy dark box and explore what people call life?

Have you ever thought that all the the have you ever(s) mentioned could've been brought up or caused by exaggeratted sensitivity caused by the human cycle a certain species of humans go through, called PMS?

Have you ever thought, yeah, maybe?

Have you ever thought, that PMS could just be an excuse for blurting out one's mind & putting them all on the table, when in fact it might just be true, that it's like Apples & Oranges, that some might agree & some might not, but still, in the end it comes back to the same thing, but at the REAL end of it all, a piece of one's mind has been put out there?

LOL.

Emo Management

This's actually a pic from weeks ago, when I went karaokeing with the babes at The Gardens' RedBox. Juz felt like posting it here :)

See my friend Tasya there, in her red baju kurung, hahahaha :P She fetched me straight after her class, which didn't even take place that day. So she basically wasted her life driving all the way to campus.

Zetty & I kept calling her Aunty that day coz she looked like an aunt who just got back from work & decides to bring us, her lil nieces shopping. LMAO :P

Anyway, earlier today I kept narrating this whole sad emo story in my head, about how luck wasn't on my side today, life sucks, bla bla bla. HAHA. Typical emo-esque Qila. My day eventually got better, and everything's fine now. I guess crap happens for a reason. I hear & say that all the time, but I tend to ignore it EVERYTIME I face something that requires me to stick to that belief. If I ever saw myself as a fish living in a fish tank forgetting to stick to the phrase, my human form would totally be knocking hard on the glass outside saying, "Have faith la bodoh!!".

I woke up a lil late today, which required me to rush my butt off to get ready for class. I was in such a rush I dropped my watch. It didn't break, THANK GOD!!! But it's minute & second hand fell off from the center :'( SO I spent the whole time in campus today only knowing what hour it was. That was a pretty distorted start for the day.

"What time is it Qila?". "Um, 10am"
Half an hour later. "What time is it now, Qila?". "Uhh, 10 sumthing?"

Greatness (-_-)
I finally got it fixed just now, and the lady didn't charge me anything. Phewhh!! I guess, she knew me from the last gazillion times I was there whenever I busted my own watch. So that definitely decreased my emo-tistics for the day.

Before class, while I kept mumbling to myself in the car about my watch, my mom kept telling me, "You can't blame anyone, you should've been careful with it bla bla bla" . Yeah okay, I get it. But if I DID choose to juz keep it cool & not say a thing about it. I'm so sure she would've been like, "Aren't you worried?, don't you care about your watch?, bla bla bla".

I love you mom. But, Please. DO NOT confuse your child.

In addition to the emo fest, I forgot to bring my Industrial trainning offer letter that's to be submitted to the center. I seriously got pissed, I tried so hard not to annoy my friends. Coz I tend to have unintentional sarcasm outbursts whenever I'm pissed. LOL. Turns out, we didn't even have to submit it there, coz they changed the registration process thing (-_-) Yeahh, say it again (literally!), freakkin CRAP HAPPENS FOR A REASON & Qila needs Emo Management.

Finished reading? Okay, now forget all the emo stuff. LOL. I'm honestly not ALWAYS like that, that's juz a snippet of what happened on my emo day, which is NOT everyday. Heeeee :P So now, it's video sharing time! Enjoy this vid I came across :D

Ohh and Sandra gave, Sara, Capa, Chad, Pia & I a double-eyelid lecture in the car just now. Hahaha :P Aight now, I hear Salami sandwiches hollering my name. Ciao :)

Pete Teo = Genius

I managed to find a few of the Talentime songs on youtube!! Weeeee ;D But I decided to just post one of em on here, coz the audio quality of the other videos weren't that good. Also, coz this's my faaaaavouriiite ;D

This one's called 'I Go' by Pete Teo. He was also the one who wrote the song 'Here In My Home' for the Malaysian Artistes for Unity. This is also the song that clicked the crying-switch in me.LOL. Huaaaa, so saaaad :'(

Update : I forgot to mention that, Pete Teo wrote the song, but in the movie, it was sung by Aizat from AF5, who plays the 'singing voice' for the character 'Hafiz'. Get what I mean? Haha, meaning, none of the actual singers are in the movie la.Pete contributed his music & Aizat contributed his voice for the the part where Hafiz sings. I think I made even more confusing, but I'll leave it at that :P

Pete Teo is a friggin genius.

I'm slippin' the trailer in too just for the fun of it. Also, so you can get a clearer picture of what the movie looks like. Enjoy :)

You know, if you haven't seen the movie, I suggest you bring your mom to watch it. She'll love it, and it'll be an awesome day out with her. Actually anyone would do. I just feel like it's a moment worth sharing with your mom. You'll know what I mean, when u see it. Take care :)

Baby Blue & Talentime

We went to see Baby Blue! You know, the one that was born early this year, and has been one of the hot topics on the National Geographic channel. They made a live size replica of it and exhibited it in Midvalley. Sooo cuutteee!! ;D If the picture was bigger you could've seen how long it was, this was only half of it. Aaannd yeaah, ignore my boring face there, coz u know how it is when u get a mengada person to snap ur pic. Drains your mood out, man (-_-)

It was beautiful :) They sold a lot of baby blue merchandise, and while we were there, the kids were having a drawing contest. So cute, lol. In the photo, you see LCDs next to the whale, they played a few of the National Geographic documentaries on baby blue which were pretty interesting. We didn't stay long to watch though, gonna catch it on Astro ;) They had exhibition boards showing Baby blue's migration according to the season.

That very same afternoon, we went to watch Yasmin Ahmad's latest movie, Talentime! OMG, the movie was friggin awesome!! Of course, such outcome of Yasmin Ahmad's work is always expected. Her movies are all just out of the world. I'm always excited to see what she comes up with next. I don't think anyone has ever topped her work yet.

I don't wanna mention much about the movie, coz I don't wanna spoil it for ones who haven't caught it yet. But it was just soooo touching, soooo heartfelt! I cried my eyes out watching it. OMG, I reaaally did. My face looked like I just dipped my head in the swimming pool when I got out of the cinema.During the movie, my tears were literally flowing down my cheeks as if someone built a mini waterfall on my face. Hahahaha.

The whole time I was like trying my best to avoid myself from making weird cry sounds. You know how it is when you start burst out crying, all these weird sounds start coming, and everyone'll look at you like, "what the hell's her problem?". I held myself back so hard, I was almost strainning myself. Thank God it was dark, or that would've been one fugly scene for sho!

Shots with picked out fave book covers. LOL somehow we always do that.

Afi teared up a little too, but she kept stopping to laugh when she looked at me & Farah, coz we were passing tissues to each other. The whole crying scene reminds me of movies I've seen where the person watches a sad movie, and finishes a whole box of tissues used to wipe of their tears. Classic.

Okay, so enough about the whole crying thing. lol. That's one proof of how amazing Yasmin Ahmad is in what she does. I like how every movie she makes involves all the different races & cultures of Malaysia. And it's always something everyone can relate to. Even the way they speak, the way they dress, the way they interact, the obstacles & daily happenings they go through. I guess that's what distinguishes her from all other Malaysian directors.

Some of the known actors & actresses who played in the movie were, Harith Iskandar, Ida Nerina, Adibah Nor, and even Jaclyn Victor. Ohh, and watchout for the guy who plays the character Mahesh, freakkin' cute okaaaaay!! Hahaha ;D

Starbucks! Which we DIDN'T have. Lol ;P

Ohh yeahh, and the soundtracks of the movie are really good. They're actually songs played by the characters in the talentime contest they entered in the movie. I'm not sure if it's they're real voice. But I love the songs! If I find em on youtube I'll be sure to post em here ;)

We LOVE the Jonas Brothers!!! NOT. ;P

Before the movie, we hung out at Borders. That was fun, LMAO. As you can see, we had a lil photoshoot there. The employees there kept passing by and looking at us freaks. Haha.

Anyway, I think I better stop here. Coz if I don't, I might just go on & on about what went on today, I start crapping. Besides, I have one last assignment to finish up & study for the finals. 2 weeks to go!! Wish me luuccckk :D
