A couple of weeks ago, I got a request from Zetty to help her out with her presentation. She wanted me to direct a video for her visual aid. I was pretty much caught up with A LOT of work at the time, but I managed to help her out. Of course, I'd try my best to help out any of my friends, despite the situation I'm in at the time, especially for Zetty. And I had so much fun doing it! It allowed me to release myself a lil from the chaos, that has fortunately gone slightly smooth just recently.
So, the video I directed, was about 'Memory Loss' and it consisted of 3 scenes which were, a Test scene, a scene at the mall, & a scene in the bedroom. Zetty picked me up from my house on a Saturday to go shoot the outdoor scenes. We invited Fareeza to helpout too, as the supporting actress.
The first scene was the test scene. I decided to bring them to UM, hoping to find an empty class to make the test scene look more realistic. Sadly since it as a Saturday, all the classes wer locked! We went up & down the stairs of Block U, and found no classes at all! We were gonna resort to juz acting it out at the hall way between the two lecture halls at the ground floor, when we realized the lights in DK2 were on, with the airconditioner & all. So, yeay!! I took pictures from the video stills :
Entering the 'Examination Hall' with last minute note referrals.
Passing the 'Question papers'.
"You may begin". Somehow, this scene turned out pretty well, eventhough it was juz the two of us in that big old hall. Hahaha, didn't really seem like it, at first glance.
This is where I see a really familiar question, and can't seem to remember anything about it. Ohh, and yess, Zetty wanted me to be the director ANNNNDD the friggin lead actress.
Haha, freakin ayy man :P
(p/s: look at Fareeza at the back, FULL concentration man!! 4 flat student fo sho!)
After completing the test scene, we headed to Midvalley to shoot the Mall scene. It was a Saturday, so unsuprisingly, most of the shops were full. Lucky us, Burger King had some space, and so we did it there :)
'Eating scene'. Gotta love Fareeza's face here. Haha :P
This was suppose to be a scene potraying 'fun times & laughter'. Zetty did the laughing, but I got HUGE onions caught hanging out from my mouth. But we used the clip anyway.
This was the scene where my friends were talking about something we've been talking about for so long, and they were asking me about it. Good job Fareeza! So cute!
Me, being the friggin 'memory loss girl', couldn't recall the thing they were talking about.Haha. Even when they said it was okay, I kept thinking about it while the others were already talking about something else. That seemed to work out well. Whooppeee :D
The last scene was suppose to be in a bedroom. So I handled that on my own.
I got Farah to help act it out, and I handled the camera angles & everything else.
We shot everything in the guest room. Heee :)
She wakes up in the morning.
All hungover-lookin & drowsy. Getting her hair in place.LOL :)
She decides to go make herself a drink.
On the way out, she hears her cell phone ring.
Answers it, and starts chit-chatting, and the conversation goes on for about 15minutes.
She's done talking. Hangs up. And suddenly forgets what she was gonna do.
THE END!! :)
All 3 scenes were 1minute or less. Zetty was the one who came up with all the ideas of course, coz it was her piece to present anyway. I juz helped bring her ideas to life, with whatever basic video-making experience I had. Chewaaahh. Hahaha.
Zetty's presentation was last Tuesday. And guess what?! Her lecturer LOVED it !! He loved the visual aids (weee!!!), he loved her speech (yeay Zetty!!), and even said to the whole class that Zetty'll be the benchmark for everyone. Woohhoo!! Pressure's on babe. Haha, but congrats & good on you!
Thanks A LOT to Fareeza too, coz without her, our scenes wouldn't have looked real enough. Haha. Love you guys! :)
I wanted to let you in on how my birthday went last week, but there was just too much to do at the time!! So, FINALLY, after getting over & done with Prof Kahar's replacement class on my free day (grrr), I'm here infront of my lappy, still with my tudung on, lol. Ready to blog my tousch off!
Well, not really, I've gotta keep this short. Coz I've got like, two tests to study for next week. Seriously, how ecstatic can a human be? Woohh! But my definition of short isn't as coherent to the one in the dictionaries or understood by the human mind. I tend to extend things. Yes I do =D
So, last Saturday was the day that verified how okay it is to call me 'Kak'.Lol, damn it. But whatever it is, although the number has increased, I know myself well enough to say that I'm a teen at heart! Haha, there you go Miss Cliche As Heck! Well, who isn't right? Freakin' 40 is the new freakin' 20 now. So I'm like, freakin 2 years old?! LMAO! Hallelujah! Sorry, I just got a lil over-excited with the use of the word 'freakin'. LOL. Yeahh anyway, cheers to all who wished me! I truly appreciate it =)
I knew there wasn't gonna be any celebration on that particular day, wasn't expecting one anyway, coz both my sisters weren't home. It'd be too weird to celebrate with the incompletion due to their absence. I don't really expect much from my parents, coz I don't like them wasting their money on unecessarry stuff i.e. the addition of 1 to my age. We were planning to go out for dinner this coming weekend anyway, to celebrate both me & my dad's birthday on the 8th of March. So that was already good enough for me.
So, I spent the whole day finishing up assignments, & that evening I was doing my lab report in my room. Little did I know, my parents, Reda & Farah were up to something. Suddenly...
Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you..
They all came into my room singing while carrying 2 boxes!
Turns out that, Tiqah had ordered me my suprise weeks ago! When I saw my mom & dad carrying the boxes, I was thinking, it was a spontaneous suprise plan, and maybe they bought something from carrefour. Coz that's where they were about an hour before the suprise. That would have been awesome too. I would've been excited either way. But when my dad handed the box to me, and I saw some round chocolatee stuff with letters on them, I unconciously did a silent scream. Hahahaha. You know, when you scream, but no sounds comes out. All you hear is like, a long hiss. Hahahahha, yeahh that's it =D
Tiqah ordered the cake & the cupcakes from her friend's sister who just happens to be a Culinery Arts student & has her own baking business. My mom was informed about the order, so she waited in the rain outside for the girl to deliver the baked goods. Awww, so sweet =)
So, that was one full-filling chocolate indulgent evening! Thanks to Tiqah & the whole clan. It was so funny to actually recall my reaction towards the suprise, my silent scream. HAHA =D It feels slightly awkward to be suprised. Coz usually I'm the head of the suprise plan team when it comes to any one of my family member's birthdays. Haha, it was definitely an out-of-the-world awkward feeling. Good one =)
Enough about the past. Haha. Tonight's the wild card round for American Idol! And Anoop was one of the judges selection! Woohhoo! I'm totally rooting for him! Well, actually Afi is.Haha, but she made me like him. She dug up all his singing videos on YouTube. Turns out, he's one of the soloists in this choir group called Clef Hangers, and they're really famous in his university in UNC. No suprise, you should check out their vids, they're really good! Here are two of my favourites from them :
If u hear it properly, you'll notice that there's no background music. It's all them doing it! They're just too good =D
Lets just hope he gets through into the top 12, and stay there till the end! Coz even Simon likes him. When he announced Anoop's call-back for the wild card, he mentioned "This was an easy selection for the judges.." So, Anoop better live up to it. Woots!
I have so much on my mind right now I can't even remember what else I wanted to talk about. I don't do lists when I blog, coz like Sean Connery's character in Finding Forrester said,
"You must write your first draft with your heart. You rewrite withyour head. The first key to writing is... to write, not to think!"
Haha, love that movie =) Well, I guess there's always next time. Till then.
