Merry Christmas bebehh!

Today's the day Santa rides his slay with the flying raindeers, comes down chimneys (in Malaysia? bahhahaha),fills christmas trees with goodies then gets treated with milk & cookies. No wait, that only happens at night, but then christmas celebrators wake up to fancy christmas presents that very morning! Woot!

Hahahah.. Aaahh, the result of overloaded memory of Christmas films. I spent the last five hours watching the Keys To V.I.P. Marathon today since I woke up. And before I slept which was around 4am, I was still watching it since it started at 12am. LOL. Where are all the christmas films this year? Not many new ones aside from Reese Witherspoon's Four Christmases this time. That's the only holiday film they keep talking about on E News anyway. I like fairy tale-like christmas films like, The Grinch(Jim Carey) & Santa Claus(Tim Allen).

They don't seem to make em much these days. Most of the present ones are family-based, the more realistic kinds. You know, the ones where they're trying to make the ignorants realize how important they're families are & bla bla bla. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy watchin em, but sometimes unrealistic is just waay better. It gives our imaginations that little stretch it needs ;)

Similar to Malaysian dramas during raya. I mean, the first few movies like Pondok Buruk & Ampunkan Dosaku were touching. But then, when EVERY single raya drama ends with someone dying, it's like, GIVE IT A BREAK PEOPLE!! You're trying to spark the sense of realization in people, or their guilty-conscience, well, newsflash, death ain't the answer! Yeah, it worked the first time, but hey, people can get dyrea after too many. There're tonnes of other ways to do that.

Enough about films, lol.
Have you ever wondered what eggnog tastes like? I'm kinda curious. But most eggnogs have alcohol in em.

"Eggnog, also egg nog, is a sweetened dairy-based beverage made with milk, cream, sugar, beaten eggs (which gives it a frothy texture), and flavoured with ground cinnamon and nutmeg; alcoholic versions also exist with the addition of various liquors, such as brandy, rum, and whiskey. " -wikipedia.

I think I'm gonna check out if Giant sells eggnog. And if I succeed in getting the chance to taste it, I'll post a review on it here. Haha. I've been watching people drink it on tv a lot, and it just looks so sedap, HAHA ;D

Telco News :
Ohh anyway, if you noticed, the internet's been pretty slow for the past few days. I thought there was something wrong with my laptop, that maybe the RAM was too low, or it's overloaded with all my downloads, lol. It'll be that way(slow) for the next 2 weeks.Coz according to Telco Talk Malaysia, there're some "circuit faults" on the SMW4 submarine cable network between Palermo (Southern Italy) and Alexandria (Northern Egypt) linking Malaysia to Europe.

So, if you've been experiencing it too, don't blame your poor computer/laptop for it =) We're all on the same boat ;)

Twilight thoughts :

I found out from hisgoldeneyes.com that there're rumours about a fillipino remake of Twilight and that they'll be starting the production in February 2009.

Hmmn..Is that a good thing or a bad thing? Haha, personally, I didn't really like the sound of it when I first read about it. Coz first of all, the guy they chose doesn't even fit any of Edward's description appearance-wise, well it's not like Robert Pattinson did anyway, haha. But he managed to pull it off, and deserves to be applauded.I just hope they don't spoil it. I mean it's no problem for me, that they wanna do it, coz I've seen pretty good fillipino love stories, dramas, but so far I haven't seen any top notch films from them. I could be wrong. Maybe I haven't seen the best they've got yet. This should be interesting, we'll see.

I love the Phillipines, & the people, so DO NOT get me wrong! Haha, I don't want people getting all mad at me thinking I'm some kinda hater or something. Coz if it's true that they'll be making the movie, it's another way of them showing their love for Twilight, and I fully support that =)

Anyway, check out my new desktop background :

Awesome ayy? HAHA =D
And here are just a couple of my favourite magazine photos of the cast:

Well, to all those celebrating, Merry Christmas!!
p/s : Like my christmas themed header? haha.

Jacob & China

Farah's leaving for Beijing on Christmas, and will be spending her hols there for the next 7 days. We're all currently waiting with her, someone's coming to pick her up in awhile. So, Farah-free for 7 days, what in the world am I gonna do without her?! She's like, like my babe!! Haha. They say the weather's really cold there right now, like -7 degrees. Daayuummn. That explains the piles of whopin' thick jackets & leather boots she was asked to bring.

Her outfits for the trip look pretty rad though. I've always wanted to go to any country that has snowy winters, just so I could dress up. You know, like put on a furry eskimo jacket, snow cap, and artsy lookin' scarfs. Awesomeness *winks* Coz, we all know, if we wear something like that here in Malaysia, everyone will be drilling you down with their stares, like wtf?

She's gonna get the chance to step foot on the Great Wall of China (is it even in Beijing? lol), and walk on the paths built thousands of years ago, built on pure loyalty & determination for the safety of it's country!! Okaaaay, I went a lil overboard with that, but heey, lucky chick!!

Well, have fun babe, I'm sure you're gonna have an out of the world experience, coz what else reason is there to it, it's CHINA!! Farah will be friggin missed :'(

So, I've been watching a lot of youtube videos lately, and since Christmas is just around the corner, a lot of christmassy videos have been put up. Here are some of my favourites :

Twilight thoughts :
I'm sure most of the Twilighters've heard about the rumours that they might replace the actor playing Jacob Black with a more mature looking actor. They said that Taylor Lautner is too baby-faced to play Jacob in the next movie (what the heck?). Well yeah, coz in New Moon, the plot emphasizes more on the werewolves, and it is also the time when Jacob starts experiencing changes in his physicality. If you noticed, in the first movie Jacob seems to think the whole 'werewolf -vampire' legends are just a bunch of old-folk stories, that's becoz at the time, he hasn't started changing forms yet.

So, when he starts changing, his physical appearance will also change drastically. He'll start looking bigger, taller& buffer! Woots! And that's where the whole idea of the actor switchin came up. I read Aimee's blog, she mentioned that the whole Jacob thing doesn't affect her coz she's Team Edward, haha, agreed, but damn it!, it DOES affect me, coz I'm Team Jacob =)

I'm kinda confused with these Hollywood people. With all the high-tech editting, and crazy make up creativities, and they come up with the excuse of Taylor looking too baby-faced? Come on! I am so sure they can make him look the way he's suppose to. The dude's working his butt off to fit the part, and I don't think it's fair at all if they use him for the first movie and just dump him for the next (which I bet, he was sooo looking forward to, his big breakthrough!), over some douche.

"I have been working out. I've been working out since the day we finished filming 'Twilight.' I just weighed myself today; I've put on 19 pounds," the noticeably larger Lautner told us, promising that he'll be big enough to fit Stephenie Meyer's physical description of Jacob Black in "New Moon" when cameras begin rolling in 12 weeks. "I'm guaranteeing Weitz 10 more [pounds] by filming. I get to meet Chris on Friday, in two days, so I'm excited. I'm going to have lunch with him."

Well, there's still no confirmation on the whole thing yet, but I really hope they'll keep Taylor *fingers crossed* =)

Twilighters : MTV's Woman Of 2008!

I was just checking out the MTV news awhile ago, and was blown away by the latest announcement ;D

If you're one of the millions of women who live and die by "Twilight," please take a quick glance into the nearest mirror — because MTV News' Woman of the Year is you.

Ashley Greene (Alice Cullen) & Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black) congratulates the Twilighters <3

MTV News' Woman Of The Year: Twilighters!
(adapted from www.mtv.com)

When Hollywood dismissed "Twilight" as a "one-quadrant" niche film, you responded by giving it a bigger opening than "WALL-E," "Chronicles of Narnia" or "Star Wars: Episode 1."

When Harry Potter fans looked down their noses, you fired back by standing in midnight lines for hours to help "Breaking Dawn" rock the publishing industry. You took over Comic-Con, Westwood and the rest of the world.

Our sincerest apologies to male Stephenie Meyer lovers, Kaleb the Twilight Guy and, well, me. But even Forks fans of the testosterone persuasion have to admit that "Twilight" is a franchise driven by sincere, shrieking and borderline-stalker female fans.Every list is controversial, and MTV News' Men and Women of the Year rankings are sure to get people talking. But ask yourself this: Can Britney Spears (#2) open a feature film at $70 million? Is Aubrey O'Day (#7) causing riots at your local Hot Topic? I don't think so.On a personal note, I can say that the Twilighters deeply touched me and MTV News throughout 2008 as few fanbases have before.

After I fell in love with the books at the beginning of the year, the fans embraced "Twilight" Tuesdays and our sincere commitment to bring you the very best coverage. We surprised you, named you and broke big news for you - and in exchange, you guys sent me into outer space. Thanks for everything, Twilighters - and you can look forward to the much-anticipated return of "Twilight" Tuesdays sometime soon, as we officially begin the countdown to "New Moon." But first, let's look back at the notable moments that made you our 2008 MTV Woman of the Year.1.

I know I'm not as crazy or deeply committed , or in the state of mind of the, 'would jump off a cliff for Twilight', or 'The Cullens jump, I jump' situations, as mentioned. BUT, I like to think I am. Hahaha. It's not something that would get me a 4flat (LOL), but I'm happy for the Twilighters, coz TWILIGHTERS ROCK!!

Family & The Holidays

I just got back from Penang yesterday evening. I was there for 3 days & 2 nights with the whole family together with my cousins, aunts & uncles from Sarawak. The trip was definitely one fulfilling vacation. We convoyed our way to Penang in 4 cars.

I managed to check off a few things which have been on my mental-form of "Things I Wanna Do" list (which is purr-retty long, I should say) for quite some time.

i.) Para-sailing. ii.) Jet-skiing.

iii.) Banana Boat Ride.

Sadly we didn't snap any pictures. We were too busy having fun, we didn't even bring the camera.

Parasailing was especially fun, minus the failure of my first attempt at take off, LOL. I'm not sure what I did wrong, but I ran together with the chute behind me, as the boat drove off (as directed), I was running & running, almost close to the edgde of the shore, but I was confident that I would already be on air by the time I reached the water. Unfortunately, I ran straight into it & never flew up. LOL, freakin embarassing. Everyone there was like, "Go Qila! Go Qila!" while I was running, and when they looked up, they saw NOTHING, hahahaa, instead of flying free up in the air, I was drowning in between the ropes of the parachute in the water, hahaha. Damn that part man, lol.

But the second attempt was successful! And it was amazing ;D Being able to fly all on my own, I felt a sense of absolute freedom for that short moment. A little cold, after the big unplanned dive during the first take off, but it was just, GREAT. Same goes to jet-skiing & the banana boat ride. Omg, thanks to the Banana Boat Ride, my body's aching all over. It wasn't scarry at all, just that we had to hold on really tight in order to save ourselves from falling off (especially at the deep ends of the ocean). I think I kinda emphasized a little too much on my tigh & arm muscles when I held on to the boat, coz I woke this morning all zombi-fied. I couldn't even move properly. Aahhh but it was all no doubt, worth the pain ;)

So yeahh, Penang was awesome, I also met up with my Penang cousins, including baby Nisa!!

Okay, obviously Nisa hates me, LOL.

Together with the Sarawak clan, we had HUGE dinners during the 2 nights that we spent there, and I was bloated as heck! We had oysters, char kuew teow, spring rolls, pesembur, pasta, fried prawns & squid, lime chicken, laksa, etc. My family members are always champions when it comes to food. That's why we always have fun together, who gives a crap about dieting when we're at it together, we eat, experience the variety of food, bond, bloat, no regrets. It's not that we're ignorant of our health, we just know how to have fun & we know our limits =)

Speaking of family bondings, a couple of days before the Penang trip, we attended a family gathering in Sunway Lagoon. It's an annual thing that we have, so that the children, grandchildren & children of grandchildren and so on, of Za'ba would be able to mingle & bond. This year, was pretty much happening as ever. Kind of a challenge for me in the beginning, coz it was the first time since I started wearing tudung, that I had to go swimming, and I had no idea, what to wear, plus, I was a lil uncomfortable about it.

I had always felt that it looked dumb to wear tudung when swimming in a pool. A lot of people suggested that I just take it off. But there was NO WAY in the world, I was gonna do that. Coz the day I decided to wear tudung permanently, I made a commitment, and there's no excuse for me NOT to wear it in public. I have nothing against people who like to wear em off & on, coz that's THEIR choice, and this is MINE. And so, I wore it anyway, and fortunately gained knowledgde on dressing up as a tudung-wearer =) I know there's that special swim-wear for tudung-wearers, but puhh-lease, I prefer not to look like Super Woman when I swim. So, I managed to come up with something comfortable, and low-profile-lookin ;)

Just get any dark-coloured long sleeve t-shirt and tudung, and wear em with long tights. Or if you wanna look more beachy, u can always get those thin long leggings and wear surfer shorts on top of em, like I did. They look really cool ;)

Okay, back to the gathering. So after all the tele-matches, and lunch, we went to Sunway Lagoon's Scream Park, together with the Sarawak cousins. HAHA, you should so try out the Scream Park. It's a 20minute walk. You're divided into groups of fives, and you're suppose to walk in this really REALLY dark room. The path way the prepared was FREAKIN small, so whatever ghost or monster, can come reeaaaally close to you. It was scarry okaaay!! At the beginning, they'll bring you in this dark room with a big screen on top. You're required to watch the screen which showed quite a lot of disturbing videos of ghosts, & blood for about 10 minutes. And while you're busy concentrating on the screen on top, there'll be like several different types of ghost wandering beside you. As for me, there was this one ghost who put his face so close to mine I could feel his breath at my neck. Haha, I kept looking the other side, but everytime I looked back to check, he was still starring at me. It was freaaakky!!

Then, we were moved to the next room, and that was kinda shitty, coz the second I stepped into that room, a ghost jumped out from the dark right next to me & screamed, and I screamed my lungs out (reflex!!) I almost deafened my uncle infront of me. LOL. Then, there was this one section where they gave us 3D glasses, and we had to walk in this room full of mirrors. The scarry thing was, instead of seeing our reflection in em, the ghosts were in the mirror following our reflection, they'd just folllow us the whole time, till we reach this one point, where they'll suddenly jump out of the mirror so close to our faces. Must've been the 3D effect, but that was pretty creepy.

The last part of the scream park was Prison Break. I didn't know what to expect, coz all I know about Prison Break is sexy Scoldfield & his plans of breaking out. LOL. So, we stop at this steel door, with a prison guard infront of it. He was like, really serious, telling us "When you go in, DO NOT touch the prisoners, therefore they will not touch you". Creepy, I know. I was expecting to pass cages with different prisoners INSIDE of em. But when the prison gurad opened the door, the cages were all open & the prisoners were wandering around like nobody's business. And the minute we stepped in they all stared at us, and started coming towards us. It was pretty scarry at the beginning, coz they were like growling & shouting so close to us, some were hanging up the cages and screaming down on us. But I started feeling a lil relaxed when I noticed that most of the prisoners were hott!! Hahahaha. And also, there was this one part when my uncle didn't know which way to go (he was leading us), and he asked one of the prisoners, "Nak pergi kiri ke kanan?", and the prisoner was like, "Kanan" and he continued growling back at us, which totally spoiled the whole creepiness of the place, LOL.

When we got out, I saw some of my cousins who went in before us outside, and they were crying, hahahahahahahahha. The gathering was so much fun, sadly it rained after that, and we ran in the rain a lot. Our whole family of like 50 people were like , "Okay, 1, 2, 3, GO!!" and we all ran in the rain back to the harbour deck where our stuff were, and everyone else who were under the sheds wer just staring at us, and some even applauded, LOL. Fun times :D

I've got about 2 weeks left till classes start again. Sighs. Back to reality.
But with a whole lotta memories ;D

Updato!

It's been pretty hard for me to update my blog, coz recently my wireless router got busted and now everyone in the house has to work their way to earn a turn in using the only internet-accessible computer, 'Gladiator Style'. LOL, kidding, but yeahh, we have to wait for our turn, MAJOR tolerance test. Thank God, tolerance hasn't been much of a problem, so, despite the limited internet activity time, we're all GOOD =)

What've I been doing for the past week?
Had my aunt n cousin stay over for about week. Both my sisters were still in college at the time, and Farah went for a slumber party, so we didn't really go out much (I prefer going out with them more than anything, so I usually don't mind lazing around the house while waiting), but since my cousin, Asia (yup her name's Asia, wicked eyh?!) was there, i decided to take her out on a date ;) Just the two of us =D

Took her to watch the 3D version of Bolt. Aahh I just love Disney movies!!(Actually, all animations!) We went on a Sunday, which made me a lil worried about how long the queue was gonna be. Fortunately they had a special counter for 3D flicks.Cute movie!! I can't get over how freakin cute the lil hamster (Rhino) is!! Go watch it, and you'll know what I mean, haha ;)

Christmas' just a few weeks away, as expected, the mall was completely decorated to suit the season. I love christmas decorations to an extent where I'd go window shopping at different malls just to check out the different decos. I don't really celebrate christmas (just once when I used to live in Brisbane), but I like the whole idea of it, u know, Santa Claus from the North Pole, with his elves & flying raindeers going down chimneys at night, haha. Believe me, it's got nothing to do with religion, it's just kiddy fantasy enjoyment. I've even sat on Santa's lap before, but that was more than a decade ago, & I still have the picture, hahaha. Fun times =)

Asia went back with her mom a few days ago, missing her already ='(

Just this Saturday, I had to babysit my niece, Nisa (coz my cousin had to do attend an event in KL), remember the lil baby I mentioned in one of my previous posts? She's already 1 year old now =) Looks slightly different from the last time I saw her. Still cute as ever, but not as friendly, haha. Coz now she's more aware of the people around her, and it'll take her quite a while to get used to new people. So, that's pretty much what I had to deal with during the first hour my cousin left her with my mom & I. She cried like nobody's business, we tried hard to calm her down, and came up with so many baby talks, songs, puppet acts, LOL! Half way thru, my mom & I were laughing at each other seeing how stupid we looked trying to make Nisa stop crying ;P

Later on, she managed to adapt to the environment, & I had fun playing around with her. Quite tiring though, coz she got a lil attached to me, till everytime I left the room she'd start crying, HAHA so cuuute! There was this one time when i was using the pc, I put her on the bed beside me & turned on some music. Danced a lil, while I surfed the net, and checked on her frequently. Everytime I looked at her, she'd look back at me. But while I was moving to the beat, I caught a glimpse of her from the side my eye, and she was actually following me, dancing, it was so friggin CUUTEE!!! LMAO! ;D

Ohh, and I made a new video of her, with a lil twist to it, enjoy!!

On Sunday, Tasya & I decided to suprise Zetty on her graduation day. I managed to contact one of her coursemates to help us out with providing information like, the time & the location they were gonna be at after the event.Afiq drove us to Uitm Shah Alam, we arrived there like, 3 hours early, thank God parking wasn't much of prob for us.

We hung out outside the hall, bought some drinks, took cam-whore here & there (cam-bore as Afiq would put it). Pretty exhausting, coz the weather wasn't that pleasant, felt like we were in a microwave & my back was aching really bad coz there was a lot of standing & stuff carrying. LOL. We still had fun though ;)

Suprising Zetty was a success! We screamed, we hugged, we cam-whored some more, haha. It was a great day =D Thanks to Idzumi for being our secret agent. Also to Afiq, for being our cameraman, bodyguard & chauffeur!! =D
