Quick (Not exactly) Update

I know I haven't updated for quite some time.
My holiday has been pretty awesome so far :D
Don't want this blog to be too draggy, so I'll just give a quick update.
What have I been doing for the past few days :

Watched Narnia : Prince Caspian :
That weekend, all five of my siblings, including myself were 'yay'ly home, and we had a lil brother sisterhood hangout at MidV to checkout the latest chronicle of Narnia at the cinema. OMG. The movie, was everything I thought it would be. The come back of the Kings & Queens, the additional character of Prince Caspian, the loyalty of the Narnians, the sound effects, the whole plot, everything, it was all just perfect :)

I don’t wanna spoil it for whoever who hasn’t watched it yet, so I won’t mention much. Although, I will say, the movie made me cry. As shitty as it is, being the only one to cry during the movie when you’re with your siblings, YES, they made fun of me. Not exactly, but everytime someone’d ask them how the movie was, they never cease to mention the ‘big event’ where their eldest sister cried in the cinema -_-

LOL, but after chatting with a few Narnia fans like myself, I eventually found out that I wasn't the only one. Hahaha. Yosh!

But yeahh, Prince Caspian is definitely worth spending RM12 on. People who watch the downloaded or pirated version would be missing out on hella LOT bcoz watching it on the big screen will keep you having frequent exciting flashbacks for a few days :D
At least it did for me. I couldn’t get over how good the movie was. I even downloaded the soundtrack they played at the end of the movie which left me hearfelt.
Check it out : The Call by Regina Spektor.

Finished Into The Wild :
Yup, I finished it about a few days ago. In fact, I’ve already moved on to the next book, which I’m also already done with. All I can say about Into The Wild is, that it definitely ultered some of my perspectives. Somehow, I just got emotionally involved with it. Cried reading it. Downloaded the movie about 2 days ago, cried watching it too. Till now, every now and then, I would always think about Chris McCandless. NO, I’m not psycho. But yeahh, I can’t stop thinking about him. Especially after knowing that, right before what caused him to eat that poisonous seed which caused him to starve, he was already packing up to go home and make peace with his family. And watching that last part where he was at the verge of death, when he started imagining how things would've been if he went back and hugged his parents, it was just hard for me to hold back the tears :)

That's a great story I'll never forget.

Twilight Saga :
Right after Into The Wild, I started reading Twilight, by Stephenie Meyer. GREAT book. I've been wanting to read and follow the Twilight Saga ever since it first came out in 2005. There's just been too many things, too many reasons, which held me back from doing so. But now, I'm already on the go. The Twilight series is actually a love story involving vampires and werewolves. Basically about this girl who moves into town, and meets this group of siblings in her highschool who are vampires. And she starts falling for one of the vamp guys, and the story goes on. But it's really enthralling, the series. After reading the first page, it just makes you want to go on and on to find out what happens next. I know when you hear 'love story', you'll think "Ohh, it's a book for girls, guys don't digg love stories". LOL. Well, I'd say it's totally unisex. Coz it's not all lovey dovey and mushy the whole way. It's a balance of both romance & action. There're parts where the girl starts getting hunted by other vampires. And the cool part is, that certain vampires in the series have their own special powers. Not all of them, just some. Like the main guy, he can read others' minds, and his sister can see the future. The scary part was that the vampire that was hunting the girl, is a tracker, he's able to track down his preys. Scarry shizz, I tell you. But EXCITING :D

So yeahh, the series for now, has three books. (i)Twilight, (ii) New Moon & (iii)Eclipse.

I'm happy to say, I've got all 3 :D Still on the 2nd book though, and can't wait to get the 4th book 'Breaking Dawn' which'll be out in August this year. The Author, Stephenie Meyer is REALLY good u know. I've been doing some research on her, and all her books are best sellers, and the type I like and would like to make a collection of :) And their all suitable for light reading for young adults and teenagers ;) Meyer has kept my holiday occupied & interesting :D
I'm having loads & loads of fun with all this. That's why I decided to talk about it here, maybe whoever reads this, might wanna try it and feel the excitement I've been experiencing the past week :D

What got me jumping up & down was, knowing that there'll be a Twilight movie, premiering in December (in the states of course, not sure about M'sia)!!! And the main vamp guy character is played by Robert Pattinson!!! That's a total plus, coz he's hott and he definitely fits the description of the character in the book (for me at least).Haha. He was the one who played Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter : Goblet of Fire. Ohhh the hottness, lol. I am crazy crazy crazily excited about it!! Anyway, here's the trailer, so ENJOY!!!!!

This holidays has been the gnarliest of all gnarlies because I've been reading & watching a lot of good stuff which keeps me on the go. Anyway, next week, I'll be accompanying mom to Penang for her work, and we'll be staying at my cousin's place. *Sigh* I don't hate my cousins (love them), I just don't like the idea of staying in other people's place. I'm a 55% loner, what can I say.lol. But I'm excited to be able to see my cute giler niece. Yay!
Till then.

What have we learned today :
*Aqila likes to cry
*Aqila's 55% a loner
*Aqila loves the Twilight Saga
*Aqila's definitely EMO

The End.

P/s : Dang, I totally dragged the blog long loooong. Ohh well *sighs* I LOVE Twilight :D If you love it too, join the club ;)

Bestees Are Back :D

Waiting for Ugly Betty to start on 8TV. Wuuuu.
Ohh it just started.lol.

4 hours later..
Haha, the show was too good to NOT concentrate on. So, I just HAD to postpone my blog.

Anyway, stayed up till about 3am last night reading my beloved Into The Wild. I have developed a keen interest in Chris McCandless. Waaaah, I just admire the fact that he's so bold at making those kind of choices for his life. There's just too much to tell, if I were to explain why. You'll just have to read the book to understand.
Speaking about the lightness of the book earlier, I'm starting to notice that it's pretty heavy.lol. But I'm liking the heaviness, coz I'm getting to know a lot of words I've never even heard of.

I was feeling kinda dull, kinda blue today, especially because of the weather, damn. I finally bought new shorts for myself. Yay! Now I don't have to borrow my brother's anymore, haha. Shorts play an important role when we're at home nowadays. It keeps us breezy. LOL. Sounds crappy, but Yess, it does keep us breezy. We went to Amcorp Mall in the afternoon to get some groceries. Me & Farah had a lil clickin session in the pharmacy ;P

Well, tonight was good enough to make my day. Coz Zetty & Tasya's finally back.Woohoo! Two of my bestest friends in the world.
I finally have someone to talk about 'The Hills' with, besides Farah.
Farah & I have been having a Laguna Beach, The Hills & Newport Harbor marathon this whole week. We downloaded all 7 seasons, and watched them together all week.

Thank God, Zetty's also watched everything till season 3 of The Hills. Felt great to finally be able to burst out all the stuff I've been wanting to talk about, but haven't got the chance to. Eventhough I've been in Uni for like, 2 years now, I still haven't found the right friends (maybe one) whom I can really converse with involving similar interest. Not much in common. I mean I do have friends now, and don't get me wrong, they're awesome, but you know what I mean. It's just not the same. I was telling Zetty that I've been feeling lonely, friendship-wise, ever since we left school. I'm surrounded by really cool and nice people everyday in campus, but mentally I'm just friendship-lonely.Especially because my sisters are not around.
I don't know, maybe it just takes time for me to like, really open up to others, when I already have a strong bond with a particular group of people.Maybe??
That's why I'm ecstatic about Zetty finally starting her degree in UITM Shah Alam!! Wooppeeeeee!! We'll see how that works out. Should be loads of fun. I hope ;P
Well, atleast, just knowing she's close by is good enough :D

Sallikin messaged me a day after I posted the tim tams, to tell me he got them. That was pretty fast. I was expecting it to arrive like, in 2 or 3 days. But thank God it didn't, coz the chocolate would've flooded the package. I was so excited, I sms-ed him the directions for the 'Tim Tam Slam'. What REALLY cracked the heck out of me was, his reply that said

..dah try sekeping..Semput aku dok sedut milo tu..

Hahaha, I remember my first time, and that part was a lil tricky.
Sighs. It's been months, and I'm still talking about the Tim Tam Slam. LOL. Get over it Aqila!

How did your Mother's Day go? Mine was pretty fine. My mom had a bowling tournament that day, but I'd already given her, her present a few days before. Farah & I managed to trick her into sending us to Midvalley, saying that we wanted to checkout some stuff, and easily, she ended up playing a small part of helping out with her present, transportation.Lol.Unlike last year, we had to get a cab at night.
So, we spent the whole evening finding the perfect handbag for her (coz she's always checkin' em out when we're out at the mall together). We just knew that'll definitely make her yay. I was glad we got it for her, coz at the same time, it kinda drained part of the stress she was drowning in because of Afi's MARA form.Lol. She was REALLY stressed out about it.
I know people have been saying, "Why don't you give your mother a hug and tell her I Love You on Mother's Day, that's all it takes". Pffft. I'm so used to doing that everyday, so why not a lil extra prezzie right?
Man, it's already 4am. I should get to bed.
Here's another one of my favourite videos. Enjoy & Good morning :D

Corrections & Timmy Tams :D

I wanna make a few corrections on what I mentioned about the book 'Into The Wild'. LOL. Sorry! Actually the guy, Chris McCandless didn't travel to other countries, he was actually still in the U.S, but he travelled to Alaska. Yup, Alaska. And he spent most of his time around that area. Hehehe, I just read the first part of it, and realised I had given out the wrong info on the story. I'm sozz ):
About the cause of his death, he actually died of starvation, which was caused by food poisoning. He ate a seed from some kinda plant he read about in his book on edible plants. Turns out, he ate a different plant seed instead of the one he referred in the book. It's sad, coz he could've come out a survivor, he was doing pretty well on his own in the woods.

Anyway, I'm only at the third chapter ):
Haven't had the time to really sit down and do some deep reading.
This whole week, I've been up really early everyday to follow my mom around, help her run errands and dealing with my sister, Afi's MARA loan form. Damn, that was a lot of work. Lucky for Afi, she had class, and didn't have to deal with all the running around. You know, all the usual stuff like, getting signatures from the penjamins, and their bosses, and the freakin commissioner of oath.
LOL, a lot of crap happened in the process, even my mom went ballistic over the whole thing, and let out a lot of it on poor ol' me. Haha. Dang!

I'm not much of a reader actually, the type who can read within minutes, like between arriving from some place and departing to another, or between classes, etc.
Only when I find a book I REALLY really really like, then I'd read it. That'd require a special one-on-one time for me & the book each day. LOL. I'm starting on it again today, since I'm errand-free at the moment. TeeHehehe.

I finally posted Sallikin's Tim Tams yesterday! Woot woot! LOL!
I sent it through post laju, hahaha. I was required to state the item on the posting form, so I wrote 'Biscuits'. The guy at the counter was like, "Ohh, do u bake your own cookies Miss?". LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL! If only he knew what was really in the package.
Hahaha. Can't wait to see Sallikin's Tim Tam Slam video. I hope he does it.He BETTER.
I'll be sure to post it on here when he does. Haha.
In case you didn't know what a Tim Tam Slam is, you can checkout my video on the right side of the page (:

My mom was telling me about the blogger who was sent to jail for blogging in a seditious manner? The first thing that popped out in my mind was, "What ever happened to freedom of speech?". Then, my mom agreed verbally. For a second there, I got a lil worried about what I mentioned about Fraser's Hill, that I might be sent to jail for sending out negative info on the place. Lol. But not really man, that's just based on what I've seen and heard myself. SO what?
Mom checked the dictionary, and seditious means

1. arousing to action or rebellion
2. in opposition to a civil authority or government

Well, I've never read the guy's blog before. So, just MAYBE, they might have reasonable reasons for arresting him. MAYBE. But for all you know, he could be telling the truth. But I don't know. Don't wanna get involved.

Gosh, I've too much to talk to about.
But I'm trying to keep my blogs short & sweet ;)
Nothing interesting though, just stuff I've been doing & pensamientos(thoughts) I've been having for the past few days. I guess, I'll keep some of em to myself for now, before my blog starts to bore the world :D

I just LOOOVE sharing youtube vids on here, whether you like it or not ;P
This is Dustin (the one I mentioned in my tim tam video) singing with his friend Phillip. Bleeding Love :D

Don't Find Me, lol

Lol, fine, FINE ;P
Here it is. The picture which I took right before my law paper.
I was in a total RUSH. We were like, "Ok, ok 1, 2, 3, snap!".."One more time! 1, 2, 3, snap!"..
"Ok, Good luck! Bye!"
My scanner's not working, so I searched for the online copy.

Just thought I'd share some things I like, or recent stuff I've come across, and likey likey ;)

My baby niece Nisa!

She's my one and ONLY immediate niece so far, such a cutieee =D

I love what this guy has to say. You'll know why after watching it. Hehe ;)

Ungratefulness

Every two weeks, we'll hire this Indonesian lady to clean up and do the extra work around the house, just for a slight moment of relaxation. We call her Kak Vit.She's a really nice person, and pretty close to our family. She works really hard to raise her 18 year old son who's living in Indonesia. Besides cleaning houses, she also works part time at a few restaurants, washing the dishes, etc. I feel like, she leads a pretty rough life, judging from ALL the work she does, it's like A LOT. Twenty four-seven of physically challenging work.

Since she doesn't have her own transport, she has to walk or take the bus to work, coz cabs are expensive for her. She even got robbed once, on her way home. A few thousand ringgit which she just got paid from her multiple jobs, she was carrying, all got taken. You can imagine how hard it was for her, after all the work she's done. And she still manages to keep a smile on her face, when she was telling me about it.
That's why when we need her to help out with the house, we'll usually go fetch her from her other job, and send her back once she's done.

About 3 months ago, she told my mom that she used up her salary to get her son to fly from Indonesia, to come live with her here. She had been missing her son for a long long time, and wants him to be safe and grow up under her watch. On the phone, she said that her son was bored at home, and wanted to get a job. So, my mom offered her son to work at my uncle's restaurant in Fraser's Hill. The next week, my uncle picked him up and brought him to Fraser's and he started working there with quite a good pay. He stayed in an apartment with a few other workers, and food was provided.

Fraser's Hill is quite a serene place to go to for holidays, but if u really live there and get to know the people, it's a whole different story. The restaurant up there, used to be our family restaurant, but after my grandparents passed away, my uncle took over. Before that, my mom used to manage the shop, and we would spend a lot of time there. I'm not sure what it means, but a lot of people say, "Fraser's Hill tempat jin bertendang".From what I've seen, a lot of outsiders who go to live there, somehow turns either bad, or miserable. Well, maybe not all, but a lot that I know of. It's sad. Really.

So, back to Kak Vit's son. He's been working there for 3 months already, and the last time my mom checked, he's changed A LOT. He used to be this nice, quiet boy who only wanted to help his mum. Now, he's always loafing around the Fraser's town with his new, so-called pals, smoking here and there. I heard that he even borrowed someone's motorcycle, and wrecked it. Kak Vit, called my mom complaining that my uncle hasn't been paying her son, but the truth is, a lot of his salary had to be cut to pay for all the damages he's caused. I have no idea, what the hell he's been doing, but he, and his pals even broke my uncle's apartment's sliding door, and that cost hell of a lot from his salary too. Besides that, he's been taking a lot of ciggarettes from the shop.

And now, he won't even answer his mom's calls, because he doesn't want her to find out. Kak Vit wants him to stop working there, and my mom advised her to take her son back too, coz, staying there would make him worse.
It hurts to hear things like this. I really feel sorry for Kak Vit that she has such an ungrateful son. I know, it's not my place to judge, but what am I to think, after hearing something that awful. Also, knowing that next week is Mother's Day. I just wish I could help.I'm not sure what she's gonna do now, but I hope she'll be fine.

It could also be, because of the fact that the son has been un-exposed this whole time. For 18 years. And he finally gets freedom, in a totally different place. So, in that case, we can't blame him for being so vulnerable. Therefore, Kak Vit'll just have to work her butt off, to get him back to his senses. As much as it sucks, it's life.

What can I say.

Into The Wild

I was in a rush to go sit for my law paper last nite, I didn't even realise there were people from The Star interviewing my mom at the time. I'm not sure what was it about, but it had something to do with the price of things in the supermarket I think. Blehh, whatever, they wanted to interview me too, but I hid in the room, lol coz I know nuts about it. I was really worried about being late, I made them snap the photos real quick, which resulted me lookin like crap in the pic. Hopefully no one'll flip to that page when it gets published.pfffft.

The night before, I forced Afi to stay up n watch 'I love you, I love you not' LOL. She ended up falling asleep, and I watched it on my own for the 3rd time.I like that film coz of the Holocaust stories that were told, and yes because of Jude Law too, lol. It's actually one of the lamest love stories everrr, but I like watching it, I just don't know why. Hahaha.

You know, Astro kinda started this weekly movie marathon thing on HBO. Every Sunday night there'll be a new hit movie, which will repeat everyday for the whole week, until a new movie starts the next Sunday. Last week, they played 'Stomp The Yard' hahahaha. Farah & I didn't miss a day of it, seriously! lol. I lava lava that movie. We actually have the DVD, but that didn't stop us from catching it on tv ;p

Anyway, last Tuesday the courier guy finally delivered my package to the house. Weeeeee..I ordered the book 'Into The Wild' by John Krakauer. I seriously wasn't expecting it to reach that fast. Coz the expected delivery date was suppose to be in June. LOL. I'm ecstatic about it =D
The book was actually written in 1997, but last year it was played on the silver screen, a motion picture directed by Sean Penn. It sucks that Malaysia doesn't play good movies like that in the cinemas. They don't mind playing really idiotic movies like, 'Meet The Spartans', but forget about the quality ones like 'Into The Wild', 'An Inconvinient Truth', 'The 11th Hour', etc.

If it weren't for Oprah, I wouldn't have known about the book written by John Krakauer. Its a true story about this guy from a well-to-do family who just graduated highschool and decides to REALLY live his life. Meaning, he doesn't wanna waste his life worrying about what people think, and just explore EVERYTHING. So, he donates everything in his bank account to charity, burns his cash, and starts travelling with his own two feet with just his backpack. If I'm not mistaken, he travelled to quite a few countries, I haven't read it yet coz of the exams. That's why I'm excited to start on it =D I heard that the author John Krakauer's really good in expressing the whole situation, which allows readers to really feel what the guy was feeling throughout the whole journey. He lived in an abandoned bus in the woods, and was found dead, about 4 months later due to food poisoning.

I was really touched by the whole story, from the interview. I couldn't find the book in nearby bookstores, so I had to order it online. It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I haven't even read it yet, but I just know it ;)

Ohh! And there's a new original disney movie premiering in June.
Camp Rock! Yeay! Haha, exciting! Watch the trailer!
