Iker Casillas(my fave) is the first goal keeper to ever lift the trophy!!
The rest played really well. Spain has the best defenders, Puyol, Ramos & Xavi.
SPAINiads!! I heart SPAIN ;D
The smartest midfielders, Fabregas, Silva, Senna, Xavi Alonso,Marchena & Capdevilla. Even the newbies, substitutes, Guiza, De LaRed & Carzorla. So happy for them, can't even think of what else to say.My sisters and I were practically screaming our hearts out. Phewh! It was quite a tough fight. But Spain deserved it more than ever. The undefeated team for EURO 2008.
OMFG, today has been crazy as heck (in a non-physical way, as in mentally?). *grasping for words*
Felt like I was hung over the whole time, walking back and forth from the living room to the chill zone a.k.a. my room, having unplanned side naps & pointless internet surfing. All due to the sugar rush that struck as a result of irrational & psychotic doings. I guess that's what you get for eating cupcake icing like eating ice cream from a box.
Farah (my cousin) & her classmates sold cupcakes at their (my old) school carnival. Plain cupcakes, where you're given the chance to design your own icing on the top. Packs of colourful whipped icing were prepared. Soo nicely whipped & fluffy u can see the curvy waves formed when squeezed out of the pack on to the surface of the fresh baked cupcake. Now, how can THAT not be tempting. lol.
Speaking of L-O-L, I'm so used to it, I developed an embarrassing habit of using it in my non-virtual conversations. Someone comes up with an extremely funny joke, and I'll go, "Lawl!" and continue laughing. Hahahh, pathetic huh? How strongly the virtual world is able to influence your everyday life.
ANYWAY, aside from the whole sugar rush, brain high-jacking, I was caught up in mix feelings : the anxiety of tomorrow morning's EURO finals (Spain vs. Germany!!!) and my everlasting love for the Twilight Saga.
Spain vs. Germany : My Spanish brothaas have been doing sooo well in the tournament, I really hope they'll win the whole thing as they seem to be the most deserving. Am I being bias? Maybe. Huhu, I've been supporting Spain since FIFA 2002, win or lose, I stay loyal & proud for whatever they achieve. Some people support one team, and when that team loses, they move on to supporting other teams = not my thing. I usually don't have much to say about football, but this year's euro cup has been pretty interesting. I've been getting a lot of dissing from other team supporters. It's just funny coz it's not like I go around telling people their team sucks or anything. And here I am, receiving comments like..
Spain's forwards are a bunch of softies
The gutter is where Spain belongs
There's no chance in the world that your team will win the whole thing
Quite a lot more actually, but haha, I really don't mind them at all, since I like a lil challenge, I just find it hilarious. They must be so insecure about their own teams, they just HAD to diss others. But all in all, I'm totally cool with it. Spices up the season ;)
Twilight Love : I know I've been mentioning twilight in every one of my posts ever since I started reading it. I'm practically obsessed with the whole thing!! You can't imagine how often I think about it everyday no matter what I do. Breaking Dawn, which will be released in August has already been opened for pre-orders at Amazon.com about a month ago. Unfortunately, US dollars' just too much for me, it was such a downer. However, a few days ago, I found out that MPH had just opened for the pre-ordering of Breaking Dawn, and it's 30% off. Immediately charged it to my account, no questions asked.OMG, I am waaaaaaay STOKED about it!!!!!
Besides that, I also found out that there's a Twilight Audio Book! Now, that is hecka rad :D
Instead of thinking about it 24-7, I can listen to it anytime. Yaay! But that might take a while for me to get though. It's about $5o. I guess I could live with reading the books over & over again while waiting for the right time to buy em audios.
Ohh! And about the movie, they finally revealed the actors playing the wolfpack! I'm already soo mesmerized by 16 year old Taylor Lautner who'll be playing the werewolf, Jacob Black, just because he's my favourite characer. I've never even seen him act that much, and I'm already drawn to liking him for his character.
In addition to the whole Twilight obsession, (LOL, sorry if it's annoying, I just can't help it, I've got no one to talk to about it, since no one I know has actually heard of Twilight in Malaysia, here's the only place I can go on babbling, so I don't know why I apologized anyway, bare with me :D), I've been eyeing this Twilight bracelet that's being sold online. It's actually the barcelet that Bella Swan(the main girl) received from Jacob Black as her graduation present. A silver chain bracelet with a wolf-shaped pendant which he carved himself, and a diamond heart that was added to the bracelet by Edward (the vampire). It's prettttyyyyy!!!
LOL. I know I would never NEVER wear something like that for real, but the idea of owning that bracelet , would be the best thing everrr ( maybe not 'ever', lol). Maan, with all the craziness going on, I don't know how I'm gonna dive back to reality and start concentrating in class when the semester starts.
Novel Update : I've finally got a story line! But not quite a complete one. There're still a few things I have to get straight. I've been going around getting advice from my sisters, should be good I hope.
Don't wanna mention too much about here though :)
Sighs. Half an hour left to the match. Wooo. Hope this posts wasn't a bore :) I don't know why the heck I took so long to complete it. Sometimes when there's too much to talk about, everything gets out of hand :)
Currently waiting for the Spain vs. Italy match. Should be starting in about 10minutes or so, and I'm watching Astro Supersport's outdoor host, Selena sumthing interviewing the football supporters. Hmmpph, lol, I'm not trying to be mean. She talks funny, but ok I guess? I've always wondered how I'd do at hosting, lol.Sometimes teringin la jgakk, haha..
I haven't been blogging for the past few days, just coz there hasn't been much to talk about.
Though,I AM EXCITED about this new project my bestees & I just started. It's actually something we've been doing together for quite some time while we were in school. After SPM, we kinda put it on hold, since everyone had gone separate ways, and were busy with their own stuff. Seemed like we've all finally settled down right about this time, so we decided to restart this hobby of ours again :D It's kinda like a writing collaboration. The only difference is, it's a whole new story, and we're using technology ;D
When we were in school we used to write em down, in those brown exercise books. It started when we were in form 3. By the time SPM was over & done with, we'd already compiled 10 books. Awesome rite? Hahaha. This time, we created a blog on blogspot specially for it. It's kinda private though ;P But I LOVE it. I LOVE coming up with stuff and putting it out to be shared with my bestfriends :)
Aside from that, I'm kinda working on my own novel too :D After reading the Twilight Saga, I was inspired to start one myself. I've actually done quite a few in the past, but it's all just a really rough draft that I play around with. Never really layed em out properly with the right sets, and plots. Coz everytime I come up with a story, I get excited about reaching the good parts & the climax, I tend to abandon the rest. Hehehee.
Haven't written anything down yet, coz I'm still processing the story line, and I also have to do a lot of research on some of the stuff I'll be writing about.
My mum-mahh juz came back from Jakarta about 2 days ago and brought home with her a whole bag of cheap dvds, hahaha. They're only RM2 per piece, how cool is that. Atleast I don't have to waste my cash on movie tickets for the next few weeks. Also, the Indonesian dvds don't have subtitles, that's a major PLUS! Coz subtitles are such a distraction, and especially coz their cheap, the translation's baaaad, REAL bad. Anyway, glad she's back. Eventhough it was just 5 days, I missed her mucho :(
About my whole BIG plan of taking up French,..didn't work :( It was already full when I wanted to sign up for it. Same thing when I wanted to sign up for Spanish, last semester. And even if it wasnt, it'd already clashed with my other classes *sighs* Such a downer. I was determined to fight for a spot next semester, but then when I checked the subjects I'm suppose to take then, I just couldn't do it. There'll be 5 subjects with 3 credit hours. Hmmpphh. That should be just about enough for me in one semester. In addition to that, I still have to take up curricular. And SOO, with all that being said, I just HAD TO compromise with the situation, I decided to take Kekeluargaan Melayu , which I'm not sure what exactly we'll be learning about. I guess it'll be a learning experience for me, I hope?
Well, after thinking about it for some time, don't wanna get it in the way of my thoughts. Small matter, no big deal. Could've been worst. SO, enough with that.
Accompanied my sis, Tiqah to Pyramid yesterday. She wanted to get a new shirt for her classes. Huhuhu. I haven't bought any new outfits since, I don't know when. I've been wearing the same set of clothes every week since my first year in UM. I really don't mind actually, coz I'm comfortable with what I've got now, and will wear it till I have a good reason not to. Checking out new clothes is fun, but usually never buy em. Usually when I mentioned myself going shopping, the role of the shopping adviser is what I play, haha. I'll be the one waiting outside the fitting room, with all the boyfriends (waiting for their girlfriends). Kekekeke. I'll be the one who gets him/her the right size, like I did for Tiqah yesterday. ANNND, we managed to get her a really artsy-looking top, very trendy =D It was kinda weird though, while I was waiting for Tiqah to try on her clothes at Romp. There was this married couple with their 2 year old girl there, and the wife was trying on her jeans. And omg, I felt like slapping that little girl. Hahahaha. She kept screaming for her mom to open the door. Even after the dad pulled her away, she kept screaming, I thought I was gonna go deaf on the spot. One of the boyfriends there and myself kept looking at each other trying to fight our laughters. Crazy kid. And when I was ALMOST close to reaching my point of deafness, the mom came out with all the slumber-ness in the world, WITHOUT her pants. Infront of the sales boy, infront of the boyfriend waiting, infront of the WHOLE shop, she walked all the way to her screaming daughter and pulled her in the fitting room with her. And the fitting room sounded like popping popcorns in an oven. Everybody was like, looking at each other, thinking, WHAAAAAT?!Sheeeessshhh.
I stayed up sooo late last night flipping channels to watch Holland vs. Romania and France vs. Italy. Both boring matches, that I spent most of the time chatting with Wilson, my friend from Colombia. Its been almost a week since we last chatted. So much too catch up on. After the matches ended, didn't feel like sleeping coz 'Just One Of The Guys' was playing on HBO. Hahahaa.Geez, I must sound like such an entertainment freak or addict or something. But yeahh, I don't mind watching 'Just One Of The Guys' again and again and again and again. *sighs of happiness* lol.
Oohh and I finally met my future bestfriend, who's also a Twilighter like myself =D Met her on youtube, and she sent me a message saying:
..if you have got msn messenger, add me and we can babble on about twilight till the cows come home..
Just got back from Genting =D The whole family went, minus my mom, plus my aunty, do the math. Mom's in Jakarta with her girlfriends. Hope she's having all the fun she deserves. A vacation is exactly what she needs.
Genting was fun, the rides, shows and shopping. The hotel, sucky as ever. Well, atleast mine was. Hotels are always sucky unless they have additional 'creative' facilities like tennis courts, swimming pools, shops, etc. Mine was kinda deserted, and the few shops that were there, BO-O-O-RIING. The daytime weather's pretty warm there, not as cold as it used to be. But at niiigghht, freezing cold! My first night there was hell, my nose started blocking out, my asthma struck, and so breathing was practically the hardest thing to do at the time. No astro in the room ( I know, m such a whiner right?lol), spent the whole un-sleep-able night finishing up on Eclipse, and ended up falling asleep at 4am. Omg, Eclipse's my favourite so far! Gives me the goosebumps! Having finish it, is definitely a notch for the anticipation of Breaking Dawn! Gagaga!
School holidays' over, so most of the people there weren't Malaysians, but tourists, a lot of Singaporeans, Bangladeshees, Thais & Arabs. NICE ;) I've been to genting quite a few times, but this was the very first trip there wearing tudung =D In case I never mentioned, I only started wearing it about 2 years ago =) It took me quite some time to adjust to the right dressing, hehe, coz I used to be the 'Knee-length shorts & Tee' gal. I hardly wore long jeans or long sleeve shirts EVER k. Haha. And when I go to theme parks, I really GO for it. Rollercoasters, Space shot, Log rides, all ridden with REAL passion for excitement! So the whole 'tudung' situation made it a lil awkward for me. Hahahaha. Seriously k. I'm not saying it was a burden, just something I had to adapt to ;)
Genting was a great way of getting the adrenaline pumping. Any ride that could go really fast and make me terbalik-balik, or swing me as hard as possible, would no doubt ,make my day!
Tomorrow's time to register for next semester's subjects. *groans* I'm suppose to choose a subject thats listed outside the faculty. Kinda having a hard time with it. I've been going thru the list, and haven't really found anything interesting. Wanted to do Spanish, but it's not listed!!!! A lot of my friends keep asking me to join them take some other subject which I find extremely BORING. When I tell them that, they'll say, "A lot of people say it's easy to pass". Dang it. I personally see this as an opportunity to take up something new, something I like. Not, just to pass it! And when I tell my friends I wanna take a lingual subject, they say that it's hard. I AM kinda worried about having a hard time passing a subject, but I ALSO hate having to sit thru a subject I have NO INTEREST AT ALL in throughout the whole semester.
Now I'm just confused. But, my decision's leaning more towards lingual. Coz doesn't it sound totally irrational to fail a subject that we really like? The only thing is, I'll be alone. But what the heck, I'm gonna be facing a lot of things alone in the future, & it'll also be a great opportunity to meet new people, right? Right? Someone'll have to drive me to the Linguistic faculty to find the class, huhu. I think I'm just gonna go for it, and since Spanish is out, French should be good enough ;) I just hope my class schedule won't clash with the language classes, or I'm DOOMED.
Ohh! I just ordered 'Looking For Alaska' online =D Looking forward to that. And while waiting, I'm trying my hardest, to make myself re-read some of my 1st year text books, just to brush up on my engineering knowledge, which somehow feels non-existence at the moment.lol.
Ohh! Ohh!!! I totally forgot to mention about EURO 2008!!!! Omg! omg! Go Spain go!! (I know u're thinking, "So thats why she wants to take up Spanish.." Hahaha yup, when I was in form 3, I planned that I was gonna go work in Spain after I graduate, and marry Iker Casillas, hahahahahahahaha). I'm so proud of them for making it to the quarter finals. They won 4-1 against Russia & 2-1 against Sweden last night. Yay yay yay!! Hope they do good in the coming matches, coz they made me cry during FIFA when they lost to mengada France. Haha.
A few days ago, my cousin Fieqah came over to my place and brought Nisa along :) I managed to get a few snapshots of her, and made this video :D I used this rendition of Mariah Carey's song 'Always Be My Baby', peformed by David Cook for her. She's sucha cutie-pa-tootie :D Once in a while, berangan la kan Always be 'MY' Baby, lol.
